According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the number of people looking to foster a dog in L.A. and New York has at least doubled since March and it’s estimated that up to 47% of households in the United States have a dog. With so much more time spent at home over the past months and for the foreseeable future, having a pet around to provide affection, support, and distraction seems sensible.
Looking ahead to the quickly approaching holidays, you can’t go wrong by getting pet-centric gifts for dog lovers. Whether a nice-looking dog bed, matching sweaters for a friend and their furry friend, chic harness and leash sets, or even dog-themed fashion items, they could make for the best gift of all.
