[WATCH] Media Maven Roland Martin Breaks Down In Tears During Visit To The Voting Polls

Esteemed journalist Roland S. Martin broke down in tears yesterday after an emotional visit to the voting polls near his home in Texas. He posted a video to his instargram of the massive lines at the voting polls overwhelmed with tears at the roves of people showing up to exercise their right to vote. He posted:

The emotions just hit me on the first day of early voting in Texas

I have voted all my life. But when I rolled up to Friendship-West Baptist Church this AM, and I saw this massive line after the polls had been open 27 minutes, the tears just hit me. I was listening to @treysongz song, “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” and it just hit me. It’s 50 degrees right now, and these folks are ready! I’m a grown man, but I have no problem showing this type of emotion because I know what is at stake for our people.

My tears were also because I started with @common and @johnlegend’s “Glory,” and Common has a line that says “freedom is like a religion to us.” I know what Black folks have been through in this country. Voting is not the be-all-to-end-all, but I sure as hell know it IS part of the solution. I could have voted at FWBC, but I’m going to vote where my parents are working the polls. They impressed upon me the power of voting and civic engagement, and its only fitting. #VoteOrShutTheHellUp

Bobbi Althoff Claps Back, Shuts Down Rumors of Sleeping with Interview Guests

Bobbi Althoff is currently one of the biggest names in the podcast and media space. Her rapid rise to fame has been a bit polarizing, with some people not appreciating how quickly she has ascended the ranks. Despite this, Althoff remains a heavily discussed figure on social media, especially for her interviews with rappers. However, her success has unfortunately come with a wave of misogynistic accusations.

A common criticism Althoff faces is the baseless claim that she “slept her way to the top,” particularly after her interview with Drake. Even Ryan Garcia perpetuated this erroneous rumor. Previously, Althoff had not addressed these trolls, but on Wednesday, she decided to put a hater in their place. According to TMZ, Althoff took to her Instagram to call out the false accusations.

In her Instagram story, Althoff made it clear that she does not sleep around and has never slept with any of her interview guests. She expressed frustration over the constant accusations whenever she posts about interviewing a man. Additionally, she addressed rumors about her personal life, stating that social media only shows what she allows it to. With this, Althoff aimed to silence the rumors once and for all.

Harvey didn’t waste any time shutting them down, however, making it clear that the two of them are nothing more than friends. “Aht! Aht! Me and Luka have been friends for years, let’s not start this narrative,” she wrote at the time. It appears as though these days, she’s enjoying her time as a single gal, at least in the public eye. Fans can’t blame her for it either, though they are anxious as ever to see who she’ll pop out with following her split from Damson Idris.
