Busta Rhymes Surprised Harlemites Waiting To Vote With A Classic Street Performance

Getty Image Busta teamed up with Joy To The Polls to keep spirits high with some of his fan-favorite hits and songs from his new album. …

Busta Rhymes blessed New Yorkers with a surprise street performance in Harlem as they stood in line at the polls waiting to vote. Although Busta is a native of Long Island, the New York rap icon clearly wanted to share some love with the other boroughs, pulling up on 125th Street with a DJ and his hype man Spliff Star to promote his new album, Extinction Level Event 2: Wrath Of God and encourage voters. The scene was captured and posted on Twitter by local journalist Joyce Philippe.

The performance seems to have been put on by the Election Defenders action network’s Joy To The Polls initiative. The campaign has been putting on dance and musical performances to keep voters’ spirits high since October 24, as well as promoting a series of playlists on Spotify curated by the likes of Billie Joe Armstrong, Maggie Rogers, Swizz Beatz, and others.

Busta Rhymes is fresh off a television performance of “Yuuuu” with Anderson .Paak on The Tonight Show. The performance coincided with the release of E.L.E. 2, his first album in eight years, which features Kendrick Lamar on “Look Over Your Shoulder.” The next place Busta may turn up to perform his classics is the Verzuz set; he recently challenged T.I. to a hits battle. While the King of the South declined, Busta returned fire with some trash talk of his own which may light the competitive fire in T.I. to accept.

Kid Ru turns solitude into a mysteriously beautiful soundworld with “Oregon”

Kid Ru

Kid’s Ru’s latest release, “Oregon,” is a beautiful way to look inside yourself. The moody music space stays with you long after the last note has faded. The track’s first note puts listeners in an otherworldly haze that fits perfectly with its themes of loneliness and a desire to get away.

The music makes you feel like you’re in Kid ‘ N Play’s world, but not too much. “Oregon” has a raw honesty that makes it feel open and honest, like you’re looking into the quiet parts of someone’s mind where desire and inner conflict meet. The clouds of sound move around the listener, carrying an emotional weight that is both light and heavy.

The quiet intensity of this track is what makes it stand out. Kid Ru doesn’t need big gestures or loud choruses, the power is in how each note and pause is carefully placed to make you think. It has quality, but it also feels personal, like a secret known only to those willing to enter the track’s world.

“Oregon” is a whole experience. It shows how hard it can be to be lonely, how being restless can pull you in, and how beautiful it can be to be open. If you’ve ever felt the quiet ache of needing to get away, Kid Ru has made a song that will stay with you. With “Oregon,” Kid Ru shows once again that emotional honesty and evocative production can make something truly unforgettable: a song that puts you in a mood and lets you live in it.

748 BEES turns soulful reflections into a grand audio expedition “Peace”

748 BEES

748 BEES’ latest song, “Peace,” sounds like a movie. The first notes of the song take you to a beautiful place where old-school soul meets new electronic music. The song starts with soft piano and soulful, tender vocals that grab your attention right away. This makes it possible to have a listening experience that feels both personal and big.

“Peace” slowly builds to a big gospel-orchestral climax as it goes on. It sounds like every part of the music, from the soft keys to the soaring arrangements, was meant to be there. This makes the music feel like waves of feelings that wash over you. It’s a great lesson on how to use music to tell a story. Quiet, reflective times give way to exciting, almost spiritual highs that make the listener think and feel good at the same time.

What makes “Peace” stand out is its complicated balance. The mix of soulful memories and modern electronic sounds doesn’t feel forced; it feels like it belongs. Every beat, note, and harmony adds to the emotional story, and those who really get into it will be rewarded. There is a rare sense of purpose here, it sounds like every sound is meant to help the listener get calm, wonder, and let go.

In a world full of short singles, “Peace” reminds us that music can still be an experience and not just a background track. 748 BEES has created a piece of art that grabs people’s attention, makes them think, and leaves a lasting impression on anyone willing to give in to its rich, layered embrace. “Peace” isn’t just a single for fans of soul, electronic, or music that changes you, it’s a journey worth taking.
