Mort Rose shares new single “Tomber” from second album “Au revoir cowboys”

Mort Rose is a Montreal-based rock band founded in 2016 by Alexandre Archambault, Christophe Charest-Latif, Julien Comptour, and Mark Cool. They rapidly made a name for themselves in the Montreal underground with their critically acclaimed debut “Nés pour aimer”. The group also gained experience as an opening act for Hubert Lenoir, Les Trois Accords, and Weezer. Enamored with psychedelia, the band emulates the sounds of the late sixty with integrity, personality, and modernity. The result is a timely offering that perfectly reflects the urgency and the tension of our generation.

Much darker and more personal than its predecessor, “Au revoir cowboys” is also full of spontaneity and authenticity. The songs on the album feel deconstructed and unfinished, yet are filled with great melodies, energetic rhythms, and meticulous arrangements. The album, which was recorded in an immersive creative bubble, represents a total rebirth for the band. The record is psychedelic yet accessible, old-school yet fresh.

Despite a sparkling renaissance for the psychedelic genre in Quebec (Les Hay Babies, Dany Placard) and internationally (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Tame Impala, Thee Oh Sees), the place that this new album will occupy is almost vacant. It aims at reaching a curious audience that has been waiting for a long time to recognize itself in a style of rock that is both referential and innovative.
