I hate photoshoots!

Hi Kim! We are so excited to get to speak with you! Please let our audience know where you are doing this interview from now?

From my home studio in Miami Beach!

What kind of inspiration does the place you live give to your art?

I am surrounded by the ocean. So, my windows!

How did you end up there and is there a next stop destination for you?

This is my final spot. I am, at the heart of it, an island girl. I love everything about this area; the people, the community, the lifestyle and of course, the weather!

What makes you feel the most secure when you’re creating?

Do I feel secure in my work????? I dream of that day, but it does not stop me from trying!  Being creative is fun, but the review of the work by others is, well, challenging!

Your career has gone a wild ride, what was a high and what was a low that you feel comfortable sharing with us?

I have been so blessed with so many highs:  singing for the NFL a couple of times, singing for the NBL, being flown to Asia to perform in a huge festival, and to Croatia…to name a few.   Releasing my first movie – that was a big big big HIGH.  Lows, well, I guess, I still have not made the best hit in the world yet.

How would you describe where you are in your career now?

Still challenging.  People are just getting over the Covidness, so touring is still sluggish, and frankly, I really miss it.  But it appears I have a European tour coming up in April, so I am super excited about that!

Best ways to keep the momentum in your career?

Keep me warm and at the beach! But, I also love being surrounded by creative people.  They really inspire me.

What is the improvement that you’re looking to work on within your career?

To write better.  I think I have used all the words I know, and that is just not good enough.  I need to keep challenging myself.

You have a really cool project that we’re excited about you talking about, Seapers Powers! Please share the AMAZING news you have about it with your audience!

This is my dream project. It was just picked up as a Dove Original. The Dove Channel has been such a great partner. I could not have gotten more blessed to have found them.  What a wonderful network to be associated with for my very first feature film out of the gate.  I am excited to work with others in other countries as this movie travels across the globe!  And, now, I have begun the second journey…the sequel!  Stay tuned!

Any updates on what arena you’re planning on dominating next!

Well, releasing three singles, putting together a Euro tour and producing the second movie…is that enough?

How are you challenging the status quo?

I guess by being a female Director, Producer and Screenwriter all in one!

If you could speed up time would you get where you want to go right now or are you enjoying the journey?

No no no, I think time goes too quickly right now.  I am enjoying this journey, let’s take one day at a time please.

What is your mantra as an artist for 2022?

Good question. Never say Never.

What is something that you have taught a peer that you feel really honored to have done?

I actually do not know! I guess, maybe you need to find a peer!

What is something a peer has taught you that you feel honor in learning?

Keep pushing, keep working, never stop.

How are you disconnecting in a world that is always plugged in?

I leave my studio, walk outside and breathe.

When you get back to plugging in, where can fans interact with you?

“I Just Want to Soar” by JK Jerome delivers an inspiring reflection on dreams and destiny

JK Jerome

Certain moments in life have this mix of awe and confusion when you have not yet found your purpose, but you are watching someone else find theirs. UK singer-songwriter JK Jerome’s “I Just Want to Soar” explores that feeling with a sincere blend of folk-rock warmth and indie-folk storytelling, offering a thoughtful first taste of his upcoming debut EP.

The Shropshire-born artist creates a beautifully intimate mood throughout, with a soft but emotive arrangement that lets the song’s emotion shine. “I Just Want to Soar is a reflective dialogue between memories, ambition, and self-discovery, grounded in folk traditions and ignited by contemporary indie rock.

The song’s story is about the innocence of childhood dreams and the allure of watching someone who seems to have everything figured out. In this way, JK Jerome takes a simple observation and turns it into a more profound meditation on identity, direction, and the universal desire to know where we belong.

Jerome sings the song with a contained, heartfelt delivery that keeps every phrase intimate while allowing space for the understated instrumentation. JK Jerome has a real talent for emotive songwriting, combined with earthy folk-rock, making this an engaging introduction to his ongoing musical journey. “A Yellow Chrysanthemum” by Majestic Souls showcases creative guitar innovation and musical growth

Majestic Souls

Majestic Souls are moving into new territory with “A Yellow Chrysanthemum,” a track melding organic musicianship with futuristic textures. A defining chapter in the artist’s career, this piece combines the soulful nuances of jazz, the groove of funk, and the experimental edge of electronic music into one singular listening adventure.

“A Yellow Chrysanthemum” is a creative reimagining of controlled guitar samples and displays an intelligent approach to production. The production is interesting and adds to the song’s mood as it shifts with each layer. The title is more closely connected to the artist’s acoustic roots, in which the yellow chrysanthemum symbolizes an important element of a broader musical personality.

It’s a space where warmth and innovation can co-exist, that balance of natural expression and electronic exploration that defines the emotional tone of the track. “A Yellow Chrysanthemum” has a funky, electronic edge and a smooth jazz influence, creating an accessible vibe that still allows the creative freedom of an artist willing to experiment.

Majestic Souls prove, with this genre-bending release, that modern music can pay tribute to traditional sounds and take them into new territory. “Yellow Chrysanthemum” provides an interesting insight into the artist’s development and a motivating example of the coming together of various musical worlds to produce something new.
