BigXthaPlug’s Legal Team Gears Up As Rapper Faces Gun And Drug Charges Amid Album Launch
What should have been a celebration for BigXthaPlug turned into a legal mess last Friday, August 22, when the rapper was arrested during the launch party for his new country album, I Hope You’re Happy. Fans who gathered for the event saw him taken away by police for alleged possession of a gun and marijuana. Despite the situation, BigXthaPlug remained calm. He was released on bond the next day and took the opportunity to speak with reporters, focusing on his music rather than the legal issues he was facing.
He wanted people to hear about his new album, which features emotional lyrics and his unique style, instead of the chaos surrounding his arrest. While the rapper stayed composed, his lawyer, Valerie Baston, made it clear that the upcoming legal battle would be significant. In an interview with CBS Texas, she stated her strong commitment to defending him. “We’re going to wait to see the affidavit,” she said. “But we will work hard for our client because it is what it is. It’s just two misdemeanors, but people are trying to make it a bigger deal.”
Baston’s words resonated with fans who have shown their support, hoping for a quick resolution so BigXthaPlug can get back to making music that connects with them. Her confidence suggests that they are ready to fight, and the rapper’s calm demeanor indicates that he is determined to keep pushing forward despite the challenges. As the legal situation unfolds, BigXthaPlug’s fans are watching closely for the moment when he can fully celebrate his new album without any distractions.
This unusual combination of new music and legal troubles adds an unexpected twist to what should have been a joyous week, reminding everyone that even successful artists can face tough times. With a strong attorney by his side and a loyal fan base supporting him, BigXthaPlug is poised to navigate this challenging chapter while maintaining his music as his primary focus, a testament to his resilience in both life and creativity.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
