Charlamagne Tha God Aims At Drake’s Gunplay In “What Did I Miss?” Video

H

Drake made headlines once more this week following the release of his latest single “What Did I Miss?” a song unafraid to step into the smoke still billowing from his high-profile lyrical fight with Kendrick Lamar. The Toronto superstar steps back into the ring with lines that throw jabs at his enemies, at his perceived enemies, and at the people he believes turned on him when the chaos went down. “Last time I looked to my right, you n****s was standing beside me / How can some people I love hang around p****es who try me?” he spits, letting some seriously personal shit air out.

The bars landed heavily for some fans, rekindling support for Drizzy. But not everyone is bringing flowers. On a new episode of The Breakfast Club, the radio host shared his opinion on the song itself and provided even more details about the music video. Even as he bestowed upon Drake some credit where due (“Drake can rap, Drake can make music, we know that”), Charlamagne didn’t mince words about the visual capability. He was especially concerned about Drake being surrounded by firearms throughout the video.

“It’s a cool record, I mean Drake can rap, Drake can make music we know that. But y’all don’t think it’s extremely corny for him to be in a video surrounded by guns?” he began, as captured by Joe Budden Clips on X. “Why is he in the video surrounded by guns? What is the point?” It’s not the first time Charlamagne has publicly aired his frustration with what he sees as unnecessary posturing in rap visuals, but his commentary lands especially hard given the situation. For some, the move is off-brand for Drake, who has always thrived more on sharp lyricism and emotional transparency than gangster aesthetics.

The song is pretty divisive in its own right, if social media is anything to go by. Some are congratulating Drake for holding down the fort in the wake of the Kendrick squabble, others complain that the video’s theatrics undermine the song’s tragic weight. Drake isn’t finished talking, and the rap world continues to listen. And whether or not you find “What Did I Miss?” to be either a strong clapback or a stumble in machismo, Charlamagne’s frank review further heats an already spicy rollout.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream

Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.

The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.

The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.

Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
