GRAMMY Award-nominated global music rising star TERRI drops highly anticipated sophomore EP ‘In Transit’

In Transit

With his recently released EP lead single ‘Danger’ garnered over three million plays online in just a few weeks, while also receiving rave reviews and critical acclaim from the likes of Notion Magazine, Earmilk, Noctis Magazine, BBC Radio London, OkayAfrica, No Signal Radio, and Reprezent Radio, among others, GRAMMY Award-nominated global music rising star TERRI is excited to unveil his long-awaited and highly anticipated sophomore EP In Transit via ONErpm.

The new EP In Transit comes on the back of a very eventful past 12 months for Terri, which saw the Nigerian artist and songwriter receive his first-ever Grammy Award nomination for his contributions to the Wizkid album ‘Made In Lagos’, while also collaborating with Grammy Award-winning producer and one-third of Major Lazer, Walshy Fire, as well as working with Ghanaian culture icon Smallgod, among other achievements, despite not releasing a solo single since 2020’s smash hit track ‘Come Around’.

Written and composed by Terri, in collaboration with some of Nigeria’s finest new producers including Krizbeatz (Popcaan, Mr. Eazi, Davido) and P.Priime (Wizkid, Fireboy DML, Asa), and a guest appearance from Mugeez, one-half of BET Award-nominated Ghanaian duo R2Bees, his In Transit EP is a glorious Afropop and R&B fusion triumph, rich in musicality and lyricism, which sees Terri in his element as he takes the listener on a captivating journey of love and romance.

Terri burst onto the afrobeats scene when he was only a teenager, becoming the only artist to be signed by Wizkid to his Starboy Records imprint. He also collaborated with Wizkid on the certified gold-selling hit single ‘Soco’, and later released his critically acclaimed debut EP Afro Series in 2020, garnering over 50 million streams, and international support from BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Apple Music 1 and Okayafrica, among others, along the way. The fast-rising afrobeat is ready to usher in a new era with his brand new EP, In Transit.

Kalpee Honors Heritage and Heart on His Emotion-Rich New EP Dougla Boi

Kalpee

Kalpee is back with Dougla Boi, a beautiful new EP that is both personal and powerful. It gives listeners a close look at the layers of identity, heritage, and emotion that make him who he is. The Trinidad and Tobago artist is confident in his own space, which is rooted in New Calypso and polished with hints of dancehall, R&B, and afrobeats. In this space, genre bends, but emotion leads.

Named after the Trinidadian word for someone of mixed African and Indian heritage, Dougla Boi is honest, proud, and warm about the complexities of culture. Kalpee opens a window into the dualities that define him across six tracks, turning personal truth into universal resonance. The EP is just under 19 minutes long, but every second is carefully planned to take listeners on a journey through courage, joy, healing, and the quiet strength that comes from accepting all parts of yourself.

The first single, “Under,” stands out right away for its calming yet emotionally charged experience. Kalpee’s voice flows over a beat that sounds both new and old, fitting the EP’s theme of bringing cultures together. It’s one of the best examples of how he can mix soft and hard sounds, which is what makes his New Calypso sound so unique.

“Everybody,” which features Full Blown, is another excellent song that has already done very well. It has a happy vibe and an infectious bounce, making it one of the EP’s most replayable songs. “Everybody” captures the spirit of community and shared experience, which is what Kalpee means when he says that identity is not a box but a rhythm.
