On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden couldn’t help but laugh as he recounted how he narrowly avoided running into 50 Cent in person. The almost encounter happened because of their ongoing rivalry, which flared up when 50 Cent made a post on Instagram that he later deleted.

In the post, he playfully called out Budden, asking, “Why did you leave Mermaids so fast, Joe? It’s starting to get spooky right?” This cheeky message confirmed that 50 Cent was nearby, making Budden’s quick exit even funnier. During the podcast, co-host QueenzFlip added to the humor by joking that he was relieved Budden had made it home safely. He also had fun with a recent viral argument between the two.

Budden, known for his self aware humor, admitted the moment felt real. He laughed, saying, “I was two steps out of there. I was like, ‘Oh no!’” Although Budden has moved on from his rap career to focus on podcasting, his past experiences with 50 Cent continue to provide entertainment.
