Judge Denies Lil Durk’s $4.5M Bail In Murder-For-Hire Case
Rapper Lil Durk has been dealt a serious blow in his legal battle, as a federal judge has denied his request for bail while he waits for his trial in a highly publicized murder-for-hire case. Despite offering a hefty bail package worth $4.5 million from himself and his associates, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald decided that the rapper, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, is too big of a flight risk to be released.
Prosecutors argued that Lil Durk had tried to escape to Dubai before he was arrested, which heavily influenced the judge’s ruling. Although Durk’s defense team claimed the trip was for business and spiritual reasons, the judge didn’t buy it. Judge Fitzgerald pointed out that there was no solid proof that Durk had planned his trip to Dubai ahead of time. While he acknowledged the possible business and spiritual reasons, he ultimately felt that there was no evidence that Durk intended to travel for anything other than to evade the law.
Durk’s legal team had hoped that the proposed bail package, which included $1 million from his record label, Alamo Records, and $3 million from Durk himself, would convince the judge to let him go. However, Judge Fitzgerald was not swayed by the large amount of money, stating that the financial backing wasn’t strong enough to guarantee Durk wouldn’t flee. He mentioned that losing money wouldn’t be enough to stop Durk from trying to escape, especially since $3 million was just a small part of the rapper’s total wealth, implying that even a significant loss might not keep him in one place.
As a result of this decision, Lil Durk will remain locked up as he prepares to face serious charges in a case that has caught the attention of many nationwide. With the bail option gone, all eyes are now on the upcoming trial, where more details about the allegations will be revealed. For now, Lil Durk is still in federal custody, and his future is uncertain as the legal process continues.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
