Holmes hit the pavement in one of the hottest shoes of the year: Bottega Veneta’s quilted, square-toe mules in a sprightly shade of yellow. The rest of Holmes’s ensemble was more seasonally-appropriate: She styled the footwear with double denim, including a button-up shirt and straight-leg jeans. Over her shoulder, she also slung a light brown leather tote bag, another city-ready piece. (In July, she even doubled up on her totes for a busy day of errands).

While it is certainly exciting to see a yellow sandal in November, don’t be mistaken: Holmes’s boot game for the winter is going to be just as strong. She’s already worn a pair of affordable-yet-stylish snow boots from Sorel, and something tells me the rest of her collection will be equally as chic.
