Maybe it’s because of the instantly recognizable piano strain that starts off the song (you know it, even if you can’t remember where it comes from) or because of the aspirational relatability of its catchy hook, but the LA rapper’s lighthearted track has become a go-to for anyone who wants to flex, twerk, or in some cases, show off their hair care routines. Kenndog’s bio is a little light on details for now — he’s really new — but his introduction to the world has made him an instant favorite.

Drake Sparks Outrage with ‘Rap Is a Joke’ Shirt Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud Fallout

Drake

Drake is facing intense backlash after posting a controversial photo on Instagram wearing a shirt that reads “Rap is a joke.” In the post, he vented about the immense pressure he faces at the top, writing, “The pressure from being on top does more than just make your ears pop.” The timing of the post raised eyebrows, especially considering his recent feud with Kendrick Lamar.

The post quickly made its way to X (formerly Twitter), where hip-hop fans expressed their displeasure. “I bet rap is sure a joke Aubrey when you’re losing your rap battles lol,” one user commented. Another chimed in, “He lost so of course he would think this. A sore loser just like Nicki Minaj. The whole young money team tanked.”

However, not all the feedback was negative. Some fans offered support for the rapper. “Life is like the stock market, we all have ups and downs. Just enjoy the highs and learn from the lows,” one user wrote. Another added, “Diamonds withstand pressure. God has you.. lay all them burdens down and enjoy your hard work and success!”

Many hip-hop enthusiasts believe Kendrick Lamar got the best of Drake in their feud, especially after the release of Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us” earlier this year. Kendrick cemented his victory by hosting The Pop Out – Ken & Friends in Los Angeles, where he performed the diss track multiple times.
