Kneecap Calls Off U.S. Tour Amid Ongoing Legal Battle

Kneecap

In an unexpected announcement, the Northern Irish hip-hop group Kneecap has decided to cancel their entire U.S. tour set for October. The trio, made up of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí, shared this news with their fans through Instagram on Monday. They explained that they have to deal with scheduling conflicts due to ongoing legal matters in the U.K. The group said, “Because our next court hearing in London is so close to the start of the tour, we’ve had to cancel all 15 tour dates in the U.S. this October.”

They described the situation as part of a “witch-hunt” by the British government. While this news is disappointing for their fans, Kneecap assured everyone that they intend to tour again once their legal issues are resolved. Despite this setback, the group also shared some exciting news for their U.S. fans. They hinted that they will reveal something special next week, designed to keep their connection with fans strong even though the tour is off. They have kept the details a secret for now, but fans are buzzing with curiosity about what’s to come.

Kneecap is facing a serious legal charge related to terrorism from British authorities, which has affected their ability to tour the U.S. Nevertheless, the members are determined and view this challenge as part of a larger fight, promising to return even stronger. Fans have responded to the cancellation with a mix of emotions. Many expressed their disappointment, while others showed support for the trio’s struggles.

One fan shared plans to donate their ticket refund to a group that helps Palestinians, while another expressed understanding, saying, “You’re fighting for something bigger than just a concert.” These comments highlight the strong bond Kneecap has formed with their audience. For those who had purchased tickets, refunds will be given, ensuring fans don’t lose money. Although the U.S. tour is postponed, Kneecap remains dedicated to their fans and their message. With promises of a future tour and a special surprise coming soon, there’s still plenty for their American supporters to look forward to.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream

Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.

The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.

The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.

Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
