Lil Baby Is Too Busy “Getting Millions” So He “Ain’t Trippin About Awards”

Despite fans going at it over whether or not Lil Baby was snubbed at the BET Hip Hop Awards, the rapper isn’t worried about receiving another trophy to add to his collection. The My Turn artist took home a win at last night’s show after he was crowned with the Impact Track Award for his politically-driven single, “The Bigger Picture,” but fans quickly took to social media to debate if he should have received recognition in other categories. Megan Thee Stallion took top billing for Artist of the Year, a category that included Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Drake, DaBaby, and Future. Lil Baby was also nominated for Album of the Year, a title that went to Roddy Ricch for his debut effort, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.

Some people believed that Baby was shading Roddy when he seemed to co-sign a fan who stated that his loss in the Album of the Year category was “scripted,” and after gossip ran wild, Lil Baby returned to social media to set the record straight. “I Like Getting Millions , Ain Trippin About Awards,” the rapper penned in a caption to an Instagram selfie.

He had a few of his rap star friends take to the comment section to agree. DaBaby, who lost all 12 of his Hip Hop Awards nominations, wrote “Ya hea me” with a crying laughing emoji. Quality Control Music CEO Pee Thomas also agreed, as did City Girls rapper JT who dropped off a “period.” Check out his post below.

One Yen unveils where alternative rock meets the search for something more with “Vesica Piscis (Open)”

One Yen

One Yen‘s latest release, “Vesica Piscis (Open)”  is an emotionally charged and provocative album of alternative rock that is as compelling as it is powerful. With driving rhythms, layered guitars, atmospheric textures, and soaring melodic vocals, the song captures the spirit of late ‘90s alt-rock while embracing the big sound of modern alt-rock.

Named after the ancient symbol created by the intersection of two circles, Vesica Piscis immediately positions itself as more than a typical rock anthem. It explores awakening, self-discovery, duality, and man’s eternal quest for meaning outside the material world. Instead of giving easy answers, the lyrics begin an ongoing dialogue about identity, consciousness, and transcendence.

Musically, the song keeps up a compelling sense of momentum throughout. The song is built around a powerful foundation of energetic instrumentation, with atmospheric layers providing enough space for reflection. That mix of power and nuance ensures that the ride is never so enthralling that it loses its emotional heft.

“Support” is a meditation on what it feels like to work tirelessly for something you want, but not have the support you need to fully achieve it. Wyn Calico expresses the emotional burden of wanting to make a difference, believing in your purpose, and still moving forward when you hit setbacks. The song is not only about disappointment, but also a rallying cry of resilience in the face of adversity.

This song also highlights an important truth, there are many talented and hard-working people out there who have everything it takes to make a difference, except the encouragement and opportunity to flourish. Wyn Calico’s lyrics and delivery shine a light on that struggle and offer a sense of solidarity to those in similar situations.

“Support” isn’t just a personal statement. It’s a conversation starter. It encourages us to think about the value of community, support, and believing in each other. Wyn Calico’s latest drop is honest, relatable, and emotionally driven, a powerful reminder that even in the moments of isolation, the desire to keep pushing forward is still stronger than ever.
