Premiere: Bjorn Rydhog Drops New Track “I Don’t Wanna Be Alone”

Hailing from Malmö, Sweden, the multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter has a habit of crafting uplifting, wondrous pieces ready to soundtrack our days and night – it’s fun, smile-inducing music that connects on a deeper level. Rydhog has continued to keep his growing audience engaged with a stream of moving tracks that glisten with warmth and heartfelt intimacy.

Together with producer Johan Sigerud (JRSS) and co-writer Olof Gråhamn, Bjorn Rydhog continues to take his melodic indie pop into an electronic and beat-based realm. Melancholic progressions are blended with a modern retro sound inspired by M83 and The Weeknd. A logical continuation of their previous collaboration, the single ‘Just to Be with You’, which was released in 2020 and was picked up by Swedish radio.

Bjorn Rydhog Drops New Track “I Don’t Wanna Be Alone” on March 2021. “The single ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Alone’ shows an electronic direction I’m currently exploring. The tracks of the song were recorded separately at our different homes. I guess the creation process, as well as the theme of the song, reflect the distant and lonely, but also creative times we currently live in”.

The Revue: “As the world emerges from extended isolation, music like his is the perfect soundtrack for that transition. Bjorn Rydhog delivers intimacy that often becomes therapeutic. Listening becomes an act of surrender and relocation to a dream place as his lyrics describe”.

Deaf Radio share the weight of quiet moments on “Idling”

Deaf Radio

Deaf Radio’s latest release, “Idling,” looks at the times in a relationship when things seem to be on hold, and no one is paying attention. It’s not about big fights or big statements, it’s about the space in between, where nothing seems to happen but everything is slowly changing.

The band captures those moments when time seems to stand still, when it’s easier to talk, but the meaning is deeper. These quiet parts of the song show how small things can have a big emotional effect. The track is about learning to be still, which is what it feels like when life stops.

But as the song goes on, you start to feel like something is changing inside you, even though you’re not moving. “Idling” by Deaf Radio is a reminder that not all changes are big or happen right away. Sometimes, the most important things happen when it looks like nothing is going on.
