Vice President Kamala Harris’ Husband Doug Emhoff Admits to Affair During First Marriage
In a startling revelation, Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has confirmed allegations of infidelity from his first marriage. The Daily Mail reported that Emhoff had an affair with one of his daughter’s teachers during his marriage to Kerstin Emhoff, who he divorced in 2009. Doug and Kamala Harris married in 2014, following his career as an entertainment lawyer.
Emhoff addressed the issue in a statement to CNN, acknowledging the difficulties he and Kerstin faced and emphasizing that they have worked through their past issues as a family. “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side,” he said.
Kerstin Emhoff also responded, highlighting the positive relationship they maintain for the sake of their children and the supportive blended family they have built together with Kamala Harris.
CNN further reports that President Joe Biden became aware of the affair during the vetting process for Kamala Harris as his Vice Presidential pick. With Biden stepping down from the 2024 race, Harris is now a leading candidate for the presidency. Stay tuned to Honk Magazine for more updates on Kamala Harris and the 2024 Presidential Election.
