On “laundry list,” an EP that captures the beauty and heartbreak of becoming yourself, Siena Fantini turns growing pains into graceful indie pop. The four-track project drops today, and it’s a real collection of songs that takes you through the confusing emotions of adolescence from first love to fading friendships while embracing the lessons that come with moving forward.
“laundry list” is a four-song track that sends a clear message of emotional growth. Each track is another chapter, and the EP is like a diary of moments that build up who we are in silence. Beginning with the first song, “casual kisser,” this project is a story of romantic disappointment. It’s about the emotional wreckage left by people who flit in and out of relationships without a thought for the feelings they leave behind.
“claustrophobia” shifts to a more intimate mood, exploring the emotional pressure that can build in an unhealthy relationship and revealing the first signs of self-discovery and personal independence. The buoyancy of “25” is a thoughtful meditation on emotionally draining friendships, forcing you to acknowledge the one-sidedness of some relationships and find peace of mind before bitterness sets in.
The project’s ending is “a little less evil” and recalls the bittersweetness of finally walking away from a relationship that’s over. The song is about the most necessary of goodbyes, leaving us with mixed emotions. “laundry list” is a heartfelt release packed with love, loss, growth, and resilience, leaving you with the comforting reminder that every hard chapter can become part of the journey to finding yourself.

Ewulf crank it up with the pounding latest release “Shutting It Down”
Ewulf’s latest release, “Shuttin It Down” has that kind of energy that’s meant to get attention from the jump. The song is produced with a heavy hip-hop beat and an R&B crossover hook that’s all about a hyped, high energy vibe. The result is a throbbing dose of movement to the track, offsetting the weight of its production with a smooth, R&B-inflected hook.
One of the more obvious strengths of “Shuttin It Down” is the production. The heavy kick gives the track a solid rhythmic base and the catchy synths give a memorable element to the sound. All of these things add up to a production that is direct and energetic but does not lose the melodic side brought in by the crossover hook.
“Shuttin It Down” performs the most basic of musical magic, it generates energy in the room. Ewulf merges the power of hip-hop production with the softer sound of an R&B hook to create a track all about the momentum. The heavy kick is the backbone of the rhythm and the synth work gives the track a more melodic feel.

Prem Byrne suffers a painful loss of freedom on latest release “How Life Is”
Prem Byrne’s “How Life Is” provides a reflective musical voice to a personal family experience. Byrne penned the song after watching a relative lose his driver’s license because he was too old to drive, a painful thing for Byrne to witness. “Really the song is about the freedom and the control you get from driving and how hard it is when you suddenly lose that independence.”
How Life Is” is a mix of pop, rock and world music, with some ’80s flavor adding character to the arrangement. Byrne adds guitar, vocals, and bansuri, tying some of the elements of the performance together in a way that feels personal. The sounds combine to give the single its own identity while keeping its central subject very much in focus.
There’s an honest sense of reflection to “How Life Is,” making it more than just a song about a driving license. It’s a look at independence, aging, and the feelings that come with watching someone go through a major change to their daily life. Are genuine and accessible because of Prem Byrne’s soulful vocals, moving melodies, and meaningful lyrical approach. “How Life Is” is finally a thoughtful piece of songwriting that achieves emotional resonance in an experience many families can relate to, and shows Byrne’s skill at connecting personal stories to listeners.
