Stephanie Phillip faces life’s hardest unknowns on latest release “Try As We Might”

Stephanie Phillips

“Try As We Might” by Stephanie Phillip is a song of deeply personal emotional tension, written during a precarious time when two life-changing experiences were happening at once. Her brother is dying of cancer, and plans are made to marry her love, now her 2nd husband. The song exists in the space between love, fear, hope, and the unknown. The feeling underneath it is not knowing what’s next, even when life seems to be asking for it.

“Try As We Might” is about “Walking the Tightrope,” an image that preludes an emotional journey of joy and pain side by side. The song is about wanting to “see around a corner,” but life doesn’t offer that kind of certainty. This contrast gives the track its human weight, because the feeling isn’t presented as something easily solved.

Stephanie Phillip’s song is about living in a moment that won’t be easy. The tension of preparing for marriage and the possible loss of a brother is a powerful emotional setting. That tension gives “Try As We Might” its meaning. This is not a song of certainty. This is a song about the unknown and what it takes to keep going in that.

Terry Borderline asks what happens when everything breaks on latest release “Glitch”

Terry Borderline

Terry Borderline‘s latest release, “Glitch,” is a thick G-House track built around Gasoline Monk, with forceful hip hop vocals and a punishing tech house bassline. It’s supposed to be dark and completely sample free. The production lends the track a straight-forward approach, marrying its hip-hop presence with its electronic weight. At its heart it asks a simple question, what happens when the systems around us start to fall apart.

The song pushes the concept of a glitch beyond a single piece of technology. It’s like, “What if the whole system just glitch?” then it takes that into the day-to-day of technology, with questions about an iPhone and if whole systems can fail. You don’t have to think too much about the message, that tension is what the song is built around.

“Glitch” is a bass-driven club banger with hard hitting vocals and a mash up of G-House and tech-house sounds. This is a dark electronic space, powered by the free sample production of Terry Borderline & Gasoline Monk. “It’s a song about pressure, disruption and the uncomfortable idea that all the systems we rely on may not always work as they should.

“Get Away” by Young V and Love Ladda celebrate love, peace, and living in the moment

Young V and Love Ladda

Sometimes the best escape isn’t leaving everything behind but finding a moment where life finally slows down. Young V and Love Ladda turned that feeling into “Get Away,” a hip-hop and R&B collaboration about chilling, connecting, and living in the moment. It’s a warm embrace of the song’s core idea, turning the desire to escape everyday stress into a toast to meaningful companionship.

“Get Away” combines hip-hop with R&B in a way that fits its laid-back theme. The song feels relaxing, like spending time with someone who matters. That balance shows in the musical direction, which gives the release a contemporary character while keeping the emotional focus clear.

Central to the release is a different understanding of love and relationships. Ladda’s understanding of love proposes a new paradigm, replacing obsolete expectations with the true enjoyment of the other. “Get Away” mirrors how peace, love, and shared experiences can change the way people relate to each other.

The project was recorded in Bright Star Studios and gave Young V a chance to do something meaningful and form an unlikely friendship with Love Ladda. “Get Away” reminds us to stop and appreciate what’s already in front of us. Young V and Love Ladda make relaxation a creative statement on connection.
