Top5 Cuts Ties with Tekashi 6ix9ine, Labels Him a ‘Federal Informant’ in Latest Social Media Clash

HonkMagazine

In the ever-changing world of hip-hop, drama is always just a social media post away. Recently, Canadian rapper Top5 made headlines by taking a stand against the controversial figure Tekashi 6ix9ine. On Monday, Top5 unfollowed 6ix9ine on Instagram and publicly accused him of being a “federal informant,” which means he cooperated with the authorities during investigations. He shared his thoughts in an Instagram Story, even tagging Shotti, 6ix9ine’s former manager who is currently in prison and offered to help him with money for basic needs while incarcerated.

“I had to remove this federal informant from following today,” Top5 wrote, adding a sharp hashtag: #SnitchK. This comment ties into the ongoing backlash against 6ix9ine, who has faced significant criticism since his court case involving a gang known as the Nine Trey Gangsters. Although 6ix9ine worked with law enforcement, which led to a shorter prison sentence, the label “snitch” has stuck with him, creating ongoing controversy. Top5’s post showcases how important loyalty and authenticity are valued in the rap community. Being associated with someone called a “rat” can bring serious backlash, and Top5 wanted to distance himself from that image.

By publicly announcing his unfollowing and reaching out to Shotti, Top5 highlighted his feelings about 6ix9ine’s choices. While 6ix9ine has not responded yet, known for engaging in online feuds and defending himself, it’s unclear how long he’ll stay quiet. The rapper, famous for his song “Gummo,” often uses criticism to fuel his rebellious image. However, as more artists choose to separate themselves from him, this social isolation might eventually affect him. For Top5, this act is about standing by street values. As things unfold, it’s clear that many still associate 6ix9ine’s reputation closely with his courtroom actions. And for Top5, that’s a line he refuses to cross.

MTS Management Group artists celebrates friendship with new release “A Song for My Friends”

MTS Management Group artists’ latest release, “A Song for My Friends,” is a happy, upbeat song that captures the magic of being together, celebrating, and remembering. The track has a contagious energy that is like the spirit of late-night jam sessions and sing-alongs that happen out of the blue. The production is clean and smooth, but also laid-back.

The tune of “A Song for My Friends” is a toast, and it’s clear what the band wants. A party for the people who have been there since the beginning, the fans who keep coming back, and the nights that artists will never forget that remind them why they fell in love with music in the first place.

“A Song for My Friends” stands out in a world full of overproduced singles because it has heart, energy, and honesty. It’s a moment we shared that I put in a bottle and sent to you with a chorus that you’ll be singing long after the music stops.

Michael Soul hides from being open with new release “Hiding”

Michael Soul

Michael Soul’s new single, “Hiding,” is a dark, hypnotic electronic track that takes listeners to a private place in their minds where they are alone, thinking, and feeling upset. “Hiding” was written when the author was very lonely. Michael Soul turns days of being alone, when silence seemed to last forever, and connection seemed impossible, into an immersive sound.

Andrea Mastroiacovo’s polished work makes the single even better, clarifying and deepening the song’s dark mood. The production carefully reflects that emotional weight with simple textures and dark electronic sounds that make you feel like you’re alone with your thoughts.

“Hiding” is a song about feeling alone, scared, and wanting to hide from being open. It asks questions that are quiet but sharp, like why do we hide what we feel? How does fear ruin love? And can we stop going in circles of misunderstanding and emotional distance? These echoes linger long after the track ends, prolonging the sound.
