Playboi Carti Opens Up to Kai Cenat About Adin Ross, New Album MUSIC

HonkMagazine

Playboi Carti has always done things his way, whether it’s in music, fashion, or even when he’s online. With the release of his new album, MUSIC, the mysterious rapper has been making headlines in his typical unconventional style. Recently, he joined a Discord call with popular streamer Kai Cenat and other streamers Young Dabo and ImDontai to share his thoughts and plans. However, an old topic came back into the spotlight, his awkward experience streaming with Adin Ross. In late 2023, Playboi Carti stirred up some buzz when he appeared on Adin Ross’s stream after a concert with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign.

But his appearance was brief, he showed up just long enough to get paid and then left, leaving Adin and viewers disappointed. The reaction was quick, with Adin expressing his frustration and fans flooding social media with jokes about what happened. During the recent call with Kai Cenat, while he didn’t mention Adin by name, Carti clearly understood the reference. When asked if he’d consider doing another stream, he admitted he didn’t vibe with the last experience, “I ain’t really mess with bro like that,” he said, showing he wasn’t comfortable with the situation.

This isn’t surprising for fans who know Playboi Carti well, he is very selective about where and with whom he works. He values authenticity and prefers to engage in situations that match his energy. While his relationship with streaming is tricky, he maintains strong connections within the rap community, as seen in the impressive list of artists he collaborates with on MUSIC. So, will Carti join another stream in the future? It’s possible, but only if it’s what he wants. As he continues to explore new creative paths with MUSIC and beyond, Playboi Carti doesn’t just follow trends, he sets them.
