Wild Horse Unravels the Intricacies of Love in New Single “Tangled”

Wild Horse, the up-and-coming indie trio, is set to release their third single of the year, “TANGLED,” just in time for their much-anticipated appearance at the Great Escape Festival. The band, known for their infectious energy and unique blend of hip-hop beats and classic British rock influences, has already gained significant attention with their first two singles, “COUGAR” and “ANGLES,” both of which were featured as BBC “Tracks Of The Day.”

Written by all three band members—Jack Baldwin, Henry Baldwin, and Ed Barnes— “TANGLED” showcases Wild Horse’s evolution in sound and style. The song is produced by Matt Leppanen and was recorded at the esteemed Animal Farm Music studio in London. With an irresistible 1980s synth-pop inspired musical backdrop, “TANGLED” delves into the complexities of maintaining a long-distance relationship, an all-too-relatable theme in today’s world.

The band’s recent releases have generated exceptional praise from critics, broadcasters, and radio stations, with widespread press and blog coverage further fueling the momentum. Wild Horse’s music has been regularly played on numerous FM and internet stations worldwide, including mainstream BBC Sussex, Surrey, and Kent shows.

Adding to their growing list of achievements, Wild Horse has been selected as one of the first 50 bands to perform at the 2023 Great Escape Festival in Brighton. The trio has also embarked on their first national UK tour, taking the stage at iconic venues such as The Blues Kitchen in Manchester, The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, The O2 Academy in Birmingham, Komedia in Brighton, The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth, O2 Academy in Oxford, Thekla in Bristol, and The O2 Academy in Islington, all between March 30th and April 29th.

Hailing from Sussex, Southern England, Wild Horse was formed by brothers Jack and Henry Baldwin, along with their best friend from primary school, Ed Barnes. The band’s members have been passionate about their music since their teens, and despite their young age, have already recorded an impressive number of tracks. This dedication has earned them enthusiastic support from BBC Intros, BBC local shows, RadioX, Caroline, Amazing, and numerous other local FM and internet stations across the globe.

Wild Horse’s signature sound—a fusion of funked-up guitar pop with exuberant hip-hop beats and classic 60s/70s Brit Rock—captures the essence of a night out, ready to take on the world. “TANGLED” promises to be a heartfelt and nostalgic journey into the struggles of long-distance love, set against the vibrant soundscape that has become synonymous with Wild Horse.

“Keep T Moving” shows Meas & Riddie’s fresh approach to house music

Meas & Riddie release their debut, “Keep T Moving,” a fusion of youthful vigor and classic electronic character. Meas & Riddie produced the track, and these two young artists have already built a clear connection with House music while still leaving room to experiment and make music on their own terms.

“Keep T Moving” is a powerful electronic and house record that speaks to the duo’s love of fusing old-school 909 sounds with more modern synths. This distinction gives the track its main artistic direction, fusing a familiar electronic base with a modern edge. Meas & Riddie see those influences as part of the sound they are beginning to make their own.

Max Ceddo captures one-sided communication on latest release “So You Say”

Max Ceddo takes a frustrating one-sided conversation and makes it the centerpiece of “So You Say,” a song built around communication that never seems to go anywhere. It’s a relatable portrait of the frustration of constantly trying to engage another person in conversation, only to be met with little reciprocation.

The lyrics make that imbalance clear from the beginning, “All you seem ever to say is So you say.” Every time someone calls to talk to me, the narrator says, the other person listens and says nothing, and the narrator wonders why they even called. Even the greeting seems to be limited: “all you ever say is hi at the beginning.” The repetition signals a relationship caught in a frustrating pattern.

What gives “So You Say” its character is how directly it complains. There is no need to dress up the problem, one person wants communication, while the other seems unable or unwilling to give it. “You cant speak cause all you ever say is so you say” brings the idea back around, so the repetition is part of the message itself. Max Ceddo captures the weariness of talking when no one talks back.
