Interview: APVEEZY Discusses Career, Background, and Musical Influences

Sidney Gailyard, better known as APVEEZY is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer. He had been making music off and on since high school. However, it wasn’t until 2018, that he would decide to take his craft more seriously. VEEZY began writing songs around age, 11, experimenting with poetry as his basis for coming up with lyrics. By age 16 he felt he had found his niche as a Rap Artist. Citing notable influences ranging from, Bad Boy, Rocafella, and various west coast artists to southern rap acts such as OutKast, Goodie Mob, Cash Money, No Limit, Slip N Slide, and many more.
VEEZY began releasing Rap Music, in his leisure, at age 17, while balancing his high school education. Around this time, making beats, became a second craft and an additional measure in cutting music production costs. By 2018, VEEZY had decided it was time he got his own recording setup, spending afternoons and nights teaching himself the basics of mixing and mastering through research and tutorials. His Debut Album “A Veteran and A Rookie” is now available across all Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
We had the pleasure of talking to Sidney Gailyard aka APVEEZY, a fast-rising American-based rapper-songwriter, and producer We chatted about his background, inspirations, creative process, and upcoming plans.
1: Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
I’ve been making music for years but, didn’t really take my craft seriously until 2 or 3 years ago. I’ve been writing songs since I was 10 or 11.. started making my own beats at 16. Investing in my own in-home recording setup and learning how to mix and master many years after that. It’s been a process for sure.
2: Where are you from?
Jacksonville, Florida. The infamous Duval County (lol).
3: How did you get into music?
Grew up listening to different kinds. Old Soul and R&B from the ’60s and ’70s. My favorite is late 80’s and 90’s R&B. Hear a lot of Jazz cause that was my mom’s favorite genre. The First Rap I heard was No Limit and Bad Boy Artists. Biggie, Ma$e, Master P, Silk, Mystikal etc.
4: What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
Starting Over. Losing a job back in 2012 agoing through a rough loss. Apartment, vehicle repo.. etc. I bounced back from it like 10 months later. There’s a lot I wish I would’ve done differently but, who knows. I probably wouldn’t be the artist I am today.
5: Are you currently signed or independent?
I’m Independent.
6: Who inspires you the most musically?
Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Tupac.. because they make/ music based on Emotions and Experiences. So they Connect with their Listeners in a Timeless Way. Artists like them make/ made Timeless Music. Others are Biggie, Kanye, DMX OutKast, Goodie Mob to name a few.
7: What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
Awareness of what goes on in the world around us. I want my music to inspire people to find their Greater Purpose as it best contributes to Humanity.
8: What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
Completing My First Body of Work. It’s a lot when you’re doing EVERYTHING Yourself.
9: Do you produce your own music? If not who do you work with?
Yes, I Do!
10: Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
So Many and Too Many.
11: Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
So far just My Current Album which is a Compilation of mostly upbeat songs. Some Serious Subject Matter but, just an introduction to Me and My Creativity for the most part.
12: What does a day inside your shoes look like?
Working a 9-5 and then grinding out My Music.
13: Anything else you want the audience to know about you?
More projects on the way soon. For now, go grab My Album “A Veteran and A Rookie” of Apple Music!! Add Me to Your Spotify, You won’t Be Disappointed!! Nothing but, Great Music This Way!!

Tiri The Seed lets the vibes do the talking with “No Words”

Tiri The Seed has made a name for himself for saying more with less, and his upcoming single “No Words” is evidence that sometimes, the best message is the one you don’t have to spell out. This new release studies embedded wordplay delivered in an ebullient, if preternaturally easy, low-end lilt. “No Words” has the vibe of a relaxed chat with someone who understands you, no filler, no dramatics necessary.
It’s the sort of song that grabs your attention with a sharp melodic wit and keeps it with a subtle emotional resonance. Tiri’s delivery is based on imbuing meaning between the lines, creating depth within every bar without rendering the whole affair a lecture. It’s a balancing act that few artists manage smart without being preachy and poetic without being cryptic. You feel like every lyric was positioned with purpose, but nothing feels contrived.
The production is modern, melodic, and mood-setting. It’s the ideal space for Tiri’s vocals to soar, letting the heft behind his message breathe without detracting from the vibe. Serious in thought or rolling through the day, “No Words” lands just so. What makes this track outstanding is the feeling. Tiri The Seed has stumbled on something special and emotional honesty, robed in artistic restraint. This is a song for our times, where there is so much talk and so little that gets through. Tiri upends that notion, showing that strength often lies in the nil, the silences, the things unsaid, the spaces between the lines.

Are We Hunting makes waves with radiant new single ‘Your Brand New Bathing Suit’

“Your Brand New Bathing Suit” by Are We Hunting is a track that is a cool swim through shiny instrumentation and vocals that pierce like sunlight on water. From the opening few seconds, the production glitters with purpose.
The sounds themselves all feel considered within an inch of their lives, from the subtle thumps that keep the momentum going to the clean, warm tones that cocoon the listener like a warm, sunny summer breeze. Are We Hunting also delivers a charismatic presence. The performance is alive with feeling. The delivery has a subtle tension, a restrained vulnerability that makes you lean in. It’s telling a story. And, like any good story, it feels distinctively personal, redolent of moments and memories that cannot entirely be put into words.
“You’re Brand New Bathing Suit” also accomplishes something of the moment and is expertly timeless. The shine provides a contemporary edge, but the song’s soul—the raw emotion coursing through the lyrics and arrangement feels universal. This is music for late-night drives, early-morning meditations, and those in-between moments we often cling to the most.
Are We Hunting purposely deepens intimacy, resulting in a song that resonates. You may hit play for the slick production, but keep it on for the feels. In a universe of overproduced sonic haze, “Your Brand New Bathing Suit” also shines for its clarity in both a sonic and emotional sense. Are We Hunting is creating experiences, and this feels like a moment you won’t want to wash away.
