Bailey Perrie finds heartbreak and hope on latest release “Hanging Off A Cliff”
Bailey Perrie is back with “Hanging Off A Cliff,” a deeply emotional pop release that captures the fragile space between friendship and romance with striking honesty. Built on a laid-back 70 BPM beat, the single unfolds as a late-night confession, drawing listeners into a story of uncertainty, desire, and unresolved emotions.
“Hanging Off A Cliff” has the feel of a cinematic production and sweeping, big-band-inspired arrangements, yet it remains intimate and carries grand emotional weight. Bailey’s vocals move effortlessly between vulnerability and power, hitting each lyric with genuine emotional impact. The song offers vivid glimpses of parties, gossip, late-night conversations, and emotions that linger, crafting a narrative that many of its listeners will instantly recognize.
The track is all about the painful confusion of thinking a relationship was on the precipice of something more, only to be left emotionally suspended in the unknown. Bailey Perrie infuses that sense of emotional limbo with maturity and precision, making personal reflection universal. Her line “finally getting the answer you’d been waiting for, only to realize you’re still hanging in the unknown” perfectly captures the emotional tension that runs throughout the song.
