Rodriquez Cheatem is better known as Fam First DFG. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and CEO of Fam First Global LLC. Today, we had the chance to interview Fam First DFG, a Multi-talented Artist Who Is Making His Way To The Top in 2022 with his unique music. He shared his story about what brought him to this specific career path and many more.

Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

FAM FIRST DFG – My story is kind of strange but completely raw and true. While serving my prison sentence for marijuana possession I witnessed the birth of my first son and it hit me noticing the pattern I had created seeing my dad in prison at a young age and my life and story and how it affected me It opened up my eyes to what my absence could cause for my son so eventually, upon release, I started putting more into my music recorded my first single

“ALL THIS WEEK” and just kinda seen and felt how it was an act of therapy and also people liked it and motivated me to further continue pursuing music as I noticed the power of music and the power of having a platform to get your voice heard and it resonate intrigued me and also gave me a goal to get my voice heard and possibly bring awareness to my city my life and the daily struggled if people in my predicament from all races and Backgrounds.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started this career?

FAM FIRST DFG – I don’t really know which to choose. I’ve had several on this independent path but I’ll say the most memorable times are just getting recognized for my work ethic and talents so I’ll say the academy nomination would be my pick of choice.

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

FAM FIRST DFG – My funniest mistake is trying to get a blue check on Instagram and having to watch my account get hacked and offered back for sale at 100 prices. definitely learned the importance of security two-factor authentication etc

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?

FAM FIRST DFG – I would say my debut release of an official project with cover art is a new Marketing strategy. I feel it’s more in-depth music but also knowledge and a lotta passion involved in my next projects and releases.

Who are some of the most interesting people you have interacted with? What was that like? Do you have any stories?

FAM FIRST DFG – Well I’ve interacted with a lot of celebrities whenever you are lucky to get a response so it’s a list of great people’s advice but I’ll say my favorite is Fred carry and his Wednesday or weekend lives on Instagrams lotta motivation, lotta knowledge pretty much all I can say.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

FAM FIRST DFG – Easy, don’t ever let your mind tell you you’re burnt out but also try to create a solid team that understands and is also able to work for the goals as a unit to achieve the ultimate mission as a company or brand.

You have been blessed with success in a career path that can be challenging. Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on this career path, but seem daunted by the prospect of failure?

FAM FIRST DFG – I can’t stress enough the power of prayer faith and manifestation 🙏🏾 if you believe you can achieve it but it’s easier said than done don’t give up at early signs of negativity just think of it as an opportunity to learn how not to repeat or allow any opportunity of it happening again.

Can you share with our readers any self-care routines, practices, or treatments that you do to help your body, mind, or heart to thrive? Kindly share a story or an example for each.

  1. SELF-CARE-exercise your mental and physical every day.
  2. ROUTINES-Learn as much as possible pertaining to your goals and business.
  3. PRACTICES-Prayer, Faith, Manifestations.
  4. TREATMENTS-EAT healthy as possible listen to frequency activation audio steps and heavy reading.
  5. MOST IMPORTANT KEEPING FAITH in your vision and yourself.

What are your “5 things I wish someone told me when I first started” and why? Please share a story or example for each.

FAM FIRST DFG – The importance of a team and acquiring the proper relationships in the industry. I say this because I encountered a lot of financial issues and losses and missed opportunities behind either lack of knowledge or preparation or flat out bad business and scams so it’s good to have mentors and other people you can reach out to so I can verify contacts get advice etc to prevent a lot of what I went through and still try to avoid every day as I continue to build and push forward with the build of my brand companies.

Can you please give us your favorite  “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share how that was relevant to you in your life?

FAM FIRST DFG – It takes the faith of mustard seed to move a mountain probably my most favored because I Know for a fact at one point that’s all I had this all this was and now today here I am honk magazine I’m a living testimony anything is possible and I wanna continue to overall Instill and pass that energy and motivation on from my career and future achievement.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?

FAM FIRST DFG – My team more than anything my support system, new and old they’ve really touched it out with from business to reality the incarceration, bad publicity, etc they never gave up on me even when it was a stagnation so I’m extra thankful for any and everyone supporting and believing in my dream.

You are a person of enormous influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

FAM FIRST DFG – Just a few course classes ranging from marketing, advertising, networking, etc exclusive details steps and services I used and implemented to get me where I am today which is only the beginning of what’s to come.

Man, I have gotta say Jay Z of course his success speaks for itself but I feel I have a deeper connection to his whole process and what he envisioned for himself and created he’s been a mentor to me through his music and business even when he didn’t know it is so definitely a Manifestation of mind.
