Tory Lanez Fires Shots from Behind Bars As Ex-Attorney Claps Back at Explosive Allegations
Tory Lanez has always been someone who speaks his mind, and his latest album, PETERSON, shows that even being in prison can’t stop him from expressing himself. This album was put together in just three weeks while he was behind bars, and it serves as a raw and honest look at his life right now. However, one song has sparked much controversy as Lanez aims his former lawyer, Shawn Holley, to accuse her of messing up his case in favor of Roc Nation, the big management company representing Megan Thee Stallion. In a sharp lyrical attack, Lanez claims that Holley “lost my bail hearings” and was “working for my accuser.”
These accusations have stirred up quite a debate and led to a quick response from Holley. She strongly denied his claims, stating, “Mr. Peterson’s claims have been investigated thoroughly and found to be without merit.” She added that Lanez’s representative has acknowledged that he is making these false allegations desperately to get himself freed. The ongoing legal battle between Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion has received a lot of attention, dividing fans and fueling discussions for years. Lanez reignites the controversy with PETERSON, doubling down on his feelings of betrayal and injustice. Whether his claims hold any truth in the courts is a different story, especially since Holley has firmly rejected them.
PETERSON captures the gritty and personal style that has long characterized Lanez’s work. His pain, anger, and determination shine through in every song, creating a compelling listening experience. However, some might say that using his music to air legal grievances is risky, especially when the other party is eager to fight back. As the situation unfolds, Lanez isn’t giving up. Whether PETERSON is a desperate plea or a fight for justice depends on who you ask. But whether you like him or not, Tory Lanez has ensured that everyone is paying attention again.

Paul Terry, Aptøsrs & Cellarscape unite on bold new album “Alternative Piano Club”
Combining his three artistic alter egos, Paul Terry presents an awe-inspiring new 12-track album, “Alternative Piano Club,” written in collaboration with Aptøsrs and Cellarscape. This is an album-length voyage of music that blends acoustic, rock, and piano-driven cinematic sounds.
Torn between this complex emotional spectrum, all the while the piano remains at its core throughout. Paul Terry opens his “Memento Mori (Chromogenic Phase)” contemplatively, creating a solemn, reflective mood. Cellarscape’s “Three Years Of Roses“ is warmer, whereas Aptøsrs’ “Questionnaires“ is much more textured as a large, sculptural post-rock.
“Dave’s Theme,” written by Paul Terry, musically expands the narrative with a touch of cinematic elevation that aligns well. “We Shape The Clouds” by Cellarscape is fluffy and heart-warming, “Writers Behind The Curtain” is somber, more narrative. We are all together in “A Place We Made,” an honest, intimate, emotionally grounded space.
The project contains vocal warmth and cultural depth in the song “This Is My Home“ by Silas Miami & Lana Crowster. Proceeding in a totally different direction is the stronger emotional clarity of Paul Terry’s acoustic storytelling on “Any Time You Want To Fly” and “No Sleep Has Come.” Cellarscape presents a wide, spacious atmospheric moment in “Cygnus,” while Aptøsrs ends with “Rust Mountain (Monochrome Piano Version),” a simple gem that brings the project full circle.
The mixing of Sam Okell and Adam Noble, the mastering of Alex Wharton and Robin Schmidt have, in many ways, brought their polish to it while still making it feel human. “Alternative Piano Club” is a work entity, where three musical personalities met and talk mind in the same emotional language.
