Kanye West Claims Playboi Carti Brought Heat To His Hotel
Kanye West and Playboi Carti, both titans of contemporary hip-hop who previously collaborated on the incendiary 2021 song “Off The Grid,” are currently deeply embroiled in a beef that certainly doesn’t seem disingenuous or staged. Kanye West, a man never known for his subtlety, raps in his verse, “Playboi Carti showed up with a body.” In a now-viral social media video captured by user @Jasp3r_0 on Twitter, Ye lays down on what appears to be a heated reflection of his souring relationship with the Opium frontman.
“This n*a told me he was at the Chateau with a gun,” Ye continued, referring to the storied Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, where he’s been bunking. The statement’s weight hung in the air, cryptic but explosive. The reported threat implies even worse than creative differences or passive-aggressive shots taken online. This is no longer about dissing an album or a missed studio session, it’s personal, and potentially dangerous. Fans continue to tear apart what went wrong between the two, but tension has been brewing for a month now. Yet whether Ye’s beef is with Carti’s apparent musical tepidity towards music or some deeper and unspoken discontent, this public unraveling feels chaotic and tragic.

They were, after all, two artists whose creative chemistry was undeniable, and together, they dropped a track that many consider one of the best any of them has released so far in 2020. Now, the prospect of another “Off The Grid” feels further away than ever. Carti, in keeping with the mystique he methods, has not said nothing at least not in public. On the other hand, Ye is talking a mile a minute and then some, a boiling vat of a man ranting away in these tight, intense clips, addressing fans, critics, and hell, possibly himself while he’s at it. His incredulity is apparent, “If you don’t be on the Internet, what are we talking about, then?” Whether this is the inception of a dangerous schism or another storm in the Ye-verse, Fans have long memories, and they’re waiting and watching, hoping that the next headline is about music, not madness.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
