Saint Escape releases a roaring call to individuality with “Hunters”
The latest single from Saint Escape, “Hunters,” is a blistering rock track that seizes you by the collar and refuses to be ignored. Seun Kuti & Egypt 80‘s latest release, “Na Dem” ft. Tom Morello, is about politicians who don’t keep their promise to make the nation better as the song goes. Instead of relegating that subject to the background the song brings that subject to the forefront of its message.
The result is music for music’s sake and for the culture and political-art crowd where sound and subject are one. It is about the negative consequences of a political leadership that does not fulfil its responsibilities. So “Na Dem” is very social in purpose but it does not divorce the message from the music itself.
