Avery Raquel shares an Emotional Chord with “The Letter”
Canadian Alternative Soul artist Avery Raquel finds herself baring soul behind the mic once again in her latest single, “The Letter,” an offering into a vulnerable moment of honesty, emotion… and guile. A consummate vintage soul and R&B belter who has always brought a tinge of Sinatra-like pop jazz to her repertoire, Avery once again creates from that sound a voice both classic and uniquely hers.
From the first chords, “The Letter” strikes a cinematic tone, tender, raw, and deeply human. Avery’s voice soars effortlessly from sorrow to strength, treading the fine line between heartbreak and hope. At the same time, her sound has the maturity and presence of an old soul, solidifying her status as one of the most captivating young voices in today’s Alternative Soul scene.
What really sets “The Letter” apart is its emotional candor. The song sounds like a late-night confession, something you were never going to send but finally had to write out. Every song is drenched in the honesty on which she has built her name, floating across rich production that fuses retro textures to modern high sheen. It’s a track that haunts long after the last note has died out, there are echoes of greats throughout but it connects directly with today.
If Avery Raquel’s talent for blending the classic with the innovative is any indication, she’s shaping its future. “‘The Letter’ is a brilliantly executed emotional roadmap that solidifies Avery as one of today’s most captivating up-and-coming artists.
