Claressa Shields Speaks Her Truth After BET Sportswoman Of The Year Loss To Angel Reese
In a tough competition filled with amazing athletes, Claressa Shields, a boxing champion, was narrowly beaten by Angel Reese, a rising star from the Chicago Sky basketball team. The 2025 BET Awards are over, but the discussions are still buzzing, particularly about who won the Sportswoman of the Year award. While Shields accepted the result gracefully, she wasn’t shy about sharing her honest feelings. “I’m cheering for Angel Reese, but let’s be honest I feel like I was shortchanged,” she said after the ceremony.
Known for her intense competitiveness in and out of the boxing ring, Shields’ candid comments resonated with fans who believed this year’s competition was incredibly close. This year’s nominees were some of the best, featuring athletes like A’ja Wilson, Coco Gauff, Dawn Staley, Flau’jae Johnson, JuJu Watkins, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Simone Biles. Each of these women had strong cases for winning the award, but Angel Reese took home the trophy for the second year in a row and the third time overall. Reese had an impressive year. Even though a wrist injury cut her rookie season short, she almost broke the record for most rebounds in a season, coming just shy of A’ja Wilson.

Her performance included an incredible streak of 15 games with double-digit points and rebounds, showcasing her skills on the court. Off the court, she also excelled in a three on three basketball league, leading her team, Rose BC, to win the first championship. Plus, she made league history by being the first to score 20 points and grab 20 rebounds in a single game, earning her the title of Defensive Player of the Year. While Shields respects Reese’s achievements, she firmly believes that her accomplishments deserve more recognition.
Known as “The GWOAT” (Greatest Woman of All Time) in boxing, Shields has been a trailblazer in the sport for many years, and she feels confident that her contributions are significant. Shields’ honest comments remind us that behind awards and trophies is a fierce rivalry that means a lot to those involved. Whether fans agree or not, both Angel Reese and Claressa Shields are pushing women’s sports to incredible new levels.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
