Dog Flaunts His ‘Good Boy’ Ways in Brand New Album
The album is the follow-up to his foremost album, “Monster,” released under Cleopatra Records. Production on Good Boy includes melodies primarily from Hottub Johny, with additional production from Yvncc, who frequently works with EDM acts Getter/Terror Reid and Noahmadethiss; singer and producer of the boyband Yards4le, who also engineered the entire album.
The fun title stems from Dog’s most vital personal project; the discipline of self.
“I picked Good Boy as a joke because that’s what people call their dogs(laughs), but there is some sincerity to it because I have been bettering myself and holding myself more accountable.”
The artist also taps into the emotions behind unloyal friendships. The first single released, “Who To Trust,” tells the story of Dog’s former ‘friend’ and frequent collaborator, Smoking Stogies. Dedicated fans can grasp the back-and-forth banter within the topic, a seemingly indirect but very direct approach to ending any hopes of a friendship.

Ginko Bugs weaves a timeless tale of lost love in its new single, “Close In October”
The Swedish band Ginko Bugs, born from Lieutenant Bo Biloba’s solo dreams and fleshed out with an eclectic European lineup, captures the soul of classic rock with a fresh twist to their latest single, “Close In October,” that makes the past feel intimately present like flipping through a sepia-toned photo album of love, loss, and lingering hope.
Produced in Sopron, Hungary, this single embodies authenticity and introspection. The band Ginko Bugs demonstrates its remarkable talent for weaving meaningful narratives with engaging melodies, offering a strikingly timeless sound that still feels thrillingly relevant. The track opens with the resonant strumming of Bo Biloba’s acoustic guitar, creating an atmosphere imbued with warm melancholia. This effectively sets the stage for a narrative centered on the quest for emotional reconciliation.
The instrumental arrangement pays tribute to the band’s influences, drawing inspiration from the tender storytelling exemplified by The Beatles, the theatrical flair of David Bowie, and the dreamy introspection characteristic of Pink Floyd. Nonetheless, Ginko Bugs assertively establish their distinct identity within this musical framework. Private Tom contributes the lead guitar, infusing the composition with a profound yearning, while Private Key Winder’s atmospheric keyboard melodies enhance the auditory experience, culminating in a lush, cinematic soundscape.
Sargent Peter’s steady drumming and Private Barnabass’s solid bass line provide the rhythmic foundation that guides listeners more profoundly into the emotional essence of the composition. The lyrics possess an enchanting quality that invites contemplation, addressing the profound and universal longing to reclaim what has been lost. The line, “If we just had a little more time…” resonates like a prayer, enveloped in gentle desperation. “Close In October” is like a heartfelt epistle to lost love, a poignant appeal to the passage of time, and a stunning display of Ginko Bugs’ creative prowess. This track will likely inspire repeated listening and wondering about the ones who got away from past relationships.
