Drake’s 2Pac Chain Sparks Controversy As Suge Knight And Wack 100 Call It Fake

Drake

When Drake shared a photo of himself wearing what looked like 2Pac’s famous Death Row Records chain from 1996, fans went wild on social media. Many saw it as a tribute from one of today’s top rap artists to a legendary figure in hip-hop history. However, not everyone believes the chain is the real thing. In a recent interview, former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight cooled the excitement by claiming that the chain Drake wore isn’t authentic.

He stated, “I’m the only person that got Death Row chains and I’m the only one handing them out.” Knight remembered giving a chain to Snoop Dogg in the past, but he noted that even Snoop worried it could stir up controversy. Knight insisted that only a select few had access to those chains, and Drake wasn’t one of them. Knight also shared some insider information about 2Pac’s personal chain, mentioning that it was specially designed with diamonds and that it didn’t have any markings on the back.

Adding to the discussion, Wack 100, another figure in the hip-hop world, agreed with Knight. He suggested that Drake’s chain doesn’t match what was known about the real Death Row chains. Despite his comments, Knight made it clear that he doesn’t have anything against Drake personally. He acknowledged that Drake truly admires 2Pac. Knight said, “I don’t go hard about it because it ain’t Drake’s fault. I believe Drake really admired 2Pac.” He pointed to whoever gave Drake the chain as the one to blame for the confusion.

This controversy highlights the challenge of balancing respect for hip-hop history with modern tributes. For fans, Drake’s post might represent a connection between different eras of music. For industry insiders like Knight and Wack, authenticity is key. Regardless of whether the chain is real or fake, it has sparked renewed conversations about 2Pac’s lasting impact, showing that his influence continues to reach far beyond the 1990s.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream

Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.

The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.

The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.

Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
