Every Coat Nicole Kidman Wears on “The Undoing,” Ranked

A floor-length green coat appears to be Grace’s favorite, but safe to say, it isn’t mine (and I own two different coats and a jean jacket, so I think my credentials are more than in order)….

This is the first coat we see Grace in, and it works perfectly with the auburn of her curls and the signature scarlet of her Starbucks cup. (Super-rich therapists to the stars: they’re just like us! They drink mega-chain coffee!) She looks professional, yet poised; this is a woman I’d gladly go out-of-network for.

A classic for a reason! My only concern with this coat is that Grace is wearing it by the seaside at her beach house in the dead of winter, which is obviously prime puffer season. Don’t add a seasonal cold to your list of problems, Grace!

This bizarre little number is Grace’s outerwear for a black-tie auction for her son’s school, and I commend her for the stab at formality, but…no. The appliqué flowers are bad enough, but why ruin the line of a lovely evening gown with a freaking poncho?

This floor-length coat appears to be Grace’s favorite, but safe to say it isn’t mine (and I own two different coats and a jean jacket, so I think my credentials are more than in order). There’s something about this coat that viscerally stresses me out; it looks itchy in a way I can’t quite account for, and although green is lovely with Kidman’s hair, this shade is more reminiscent of bile—sorry!—than it is fine dressing. Better luck next episode, Grace!
