Evil Rabbit shifts gears and races forward with latest release “Pedal on the Gas”
Evil Rabbit continues the party with his second single “Pedal on the Gas” with MC E and Bluntzki. Based in Tucson, the producer uses the track to explore a style he’s never produced before, bringing the two featured artists into the process to help give the direction an identity. “It’s a process of development, it’s a street feel, it’s a movement.”
The simple lines, “Now I’m moving fast, pedal on the gas, mama told me to get away from the street but the street held me up,” sum up the track’s central theme. The words convey speed, but also the pull of the environment that forged the story. There’s more to the song than its title suggests, and that tension gives it more to work with.
