Justin Bieber Drops Bars Over Jack Harlow’s “WHAT’S POPPIN”

After dropping his first full-length LP in five years, Justin Bieber is already back in the booth. But this time around he’s spitting some in-pocket bars on Jack Harlow’s remix-heavy single, “WHAT’S POPPIN.” Since the 22-year-old emcee has solidified the number two spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs Chart with the remix of his piano and 808-driven single featuring the likes of Lil Wayne, DaBaby, and Tory Lanez, more and more rhyme sayers are taking their talents to the booth to take a stab at the instrumental. Now, the “E.T.A” performer wants in on the remix fun for himself.

In a short clip posted to his Instagram Story, Justin Bieber displays a window-level visual as he zooms through what appears to mid-country flatlands. The “WHAT’S POPPIN” instrumental can be faintly heard in the background as the multiplatinum singer/songwriter kicks off his verse rapping,

“Uh, exotic, brand new Lamb big body
I’m sliding, I’m gon wile like Rodman
I’m getting green like Cee-Lo, See bro?
I got the cheat codes”

The world-renowned musician then breaks out into his best pronunciation of Spanish slang before the video comes to an abrupt end. Jack Harlow took to his Twitter account to react to the Biebz verse with a simple “shocked face” emoji. Could we possibly be looking forward to yet another official remix of the Louisville rapper’s chart-topping single? Only time will tell.

Check out Justin Bieber lay down a few bars to Jack Harlow’s “WHAT’S POPPIN” instrumental in the video posted below.

Lil Scrappy Claps Back at Bambi’s Diss Track “Eleven” in Fiery Social Media Response

Honk Magazine

Lil Scrappy and Bambi are at it again, and Bambi’s diss track “Eleven” has sparked controversy recently. The rapper goes in on her ex, sharing their personal drama for the world to hear. Scrappy is not going quietly. In his own brash, emotional disproof, he’s gone to social media to deny Bambi’s allegations and to ridicule her accusations with his own series of denials. “Eleven” isn’t all about Scrappy, Bambi also takes the opportunity to throw a little shade at her Love & Hip Hop foes, like Spice, who recently questioned Bambi’s Spotify statistics. But the most extreme words target her ex-husband, Lil Scrappy.

Bambi calls Scrappy out on being reckless, saying he has more baby moms than he has dollas. He scoffed at the idea in a social media clapback, serving that hot mess back with a series of passionate responses. Scrappy aimed at Bambi’s age, claiming she had lied about it. He also disputed her financial claims, noting that if he were nearly as broke as she said he was, he wouldn’t be able to afford the sizable child support he pays. The feud between the two continues to heat up, and it’s not just their relationship that’s under examination. Scrappy’s family dynamics are also under public scrutiny, especially after his ex, Erica Dixon, blasted his mother, Momma Dee, for attending his baby shower without a DNA test for his latest child, with the hairstylist Shakira Hardy.

With such tension in his personal life, Scrappy doesn’t appear to be slowing down or shying away from the drama. Undoubtedly, the high-profile nature of their breakup has stoked the flames, but everyone can see that both Lil Scrappy and Bambi are utilizing their music and social accounts like a battlefield to settle differences, retaliate, and attempt to win. As the war of words rages, football fans can only disregard the constant smack-fighting and speculate further what round two of this public dispute will be.

Kanye Claims ‘Moon’ Collaboration Ended Frank Ocean’s Career

Honk Magazine

Kanye West is back in his true fashion, no filter, no fucks given, and this time he’s dropping bombs on Frank Ocean. In an interview with DJ Akademiks, West, who was clad entirely in black clothing that most people said resembled a KKK outfit, held back no punches, aiming at his peers in the industry. Everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Playboi Carti was a target, but his comments about Frank Ocean rocked the music world. Kanye had the audacity to say that he was the reason Frank Ocean was now largely hidden in music, citing their pairing on the 2021 collaboration Moon as the bone of contention.

“When I did Moon it essentially took Frank Ocean’s [career] away, You know?” Ye said with confidence. “He ain’t even had a song since then!” He didn’t just stop there. In a signature Ye flex, he continued, “Any genre of music that any person has, I’m a make a better version of it.” It’s a big claim, even for a guy who rewrites narratives and egos at will. Frank Ocean, a sometimes perhaps over familiar “voice of a generation” in alternative R&B and experimental pop, has always chosen a more mysterious path through the world of music releases. His silence often has seemed intentional. But Kanye, never leaving nuance to his own devices, turned that silence into a victory lap for himself.

On one hand, this is Kanye being Kanye playing troublemaker, stirring the pot and reinforcing dominance over the music landscape in the loudest possible way. On the one hand, it’s a nerve struck. Frank Ocean’s artistry, emotional depth, and genre-bending vulnerability have created a space that Kanye, despite his genius, has never really occupied. The irony, of course, was that Moon was celebrated because of its supernatural feel. If anything, the song was received by many fans as a kind of spiritual link between Kanye and the very sonic landscape Frank helped create. So, did Kanye actually “end” Frank Ocean’s career? That’s up for debate. He still knows how to keep his name in your mouth, even if he has to rewrite someone else’s legacy to do it.
