Katie Holmes’s Sharp Fall Shoe Is an Instant Outfit-Maker
She hit the ground running in a sleek, city-ready shoe….
Katie Holmes is the queen of shoes. Every season, she manages to find the perfect styles that add a fresh, modern finish to her outfits. This fall, for instance, she’s already experimented with Le Monde Beryl mules, knee-high Khaite boots, and luxe Bottega Veneta heels (to name a few). From comfy flats to sky-high stilettos, she’s never afraid to try out a new silhouette—and her latest test-drive is indeed all about the shape.
This week, Holmes ran errands in New York City wearing a pair of black, pointed-toe mules with a slight heel. They instantly dressed up her otherwise casual ensemble, which included blue Khaite jeans, a classic white tee, and a white button-up layered overtop. Worn with sneakers, it would be a perfectly-acceptable city look—but with the help of her shoes’s razor-sharp toe, it was an elevated, but still effortless, ensemble. Pointed-toe boots are a major trend for fall, so it’s no wonder Holmes is on board—but on a mule, it’s more unexpected, not to mention wholeheartedly chic. Guess it’s time to officially retire your rounded- or squared-toe shoes for a season—all signs this fall lead to the pointed toe.
