Kylie Jenner Is Ready For The Holiday Season
In rich hues and tinsel textures from Laquan Smith’s latest collection, the beauty mogul was fun and festive….
You might not be ready for the holidays, but Kylie Jenner certainly is. The reality star turned beauty mogul is already a Halloween super-fan and a crucial part of the most famous celebrity Christmas card ever. Always the first to update with a costume or themed outfit, Jenner took to social media yesterday with a preview of what this year’s seasonal fun will involve. In her boldest interpretation of autumnal chic, Jenner gave Thanksgiving colors a modern update. Dressed in a crimson version of Laquan Smith’s silk tuxedo bodysuit and the designer’s PVC motorcycle pants, Jenner was at her sultry best. The warm hues and glossy materials were especially appealing when set against the backdrop of a roaring fire and towering pine tree already decked out in flashing lights.
Though she isn’t one to recycle outfits, Jenner’s Smith-designed look would have been perfect for any of her upcoming celebrations. It’s precisely the kind of outré fashion she would bring the dinner table on Thanksgiving or wear while unwrapping presents Christmas morning. Smith has long been a mainstay within Jenner’s wardrobe. His clothes even feature one of her all-time best paparazzi moments, when she debuted her newly platinum hair while wearing one of his white jumpsuits at New York Fashion Week back in 2016. His spring/summer 2021 collection with its ’70s-inspired swagger is right up Jenner’s alley, so naturally, she’s among the first to wear it in public.
And though Jenner’s latest look is quintessential Kylie, it offers a style lesson everyone can appreciate. Sure, most people don’t have PVC pants hanging in their closets, but the addition of unique texture can upgrade any outfit. The weeks to come are sure to be filled with virtual special occasions and time spent with loved ones, and why not use the occasion as an opportunity to enjoy festive metallics and glossy fabrics? Tinsel and gift wrap aren’t the only things that should shine during the holidays.
