Lizzo Claps Back at Trump with Swagger and Substance on SNL
Lizzo ensured that her message was heard as she addressed President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live. Returning to SNL, even as a swirl of controversy and public scrutiny surrounded her, the multi-talented powerhouse made it clear that she’s not backing down. Before singing a note, Lizzo and her outfit spoke first. Clad in a crop top bearing the big-bold-red word “TARIFFIED,” she shot straight for the jugular of Trump’s divisive tariff policies, promising viewers that this performance was going to be a moment.
The look had political heft and cultural edge, delivered as only Lizzo can, with a side of taffeta and acres of confidence. Introducing Lizzo was Jon Hamm, who walked onto that exalted stage with swagger and fire in her vocals. A huge projection of the American flag to her rear set the scene, tying her performance firmly to the core of American discourse. She presented a fiery medley of “Love in Real Life” and “Still Bad,” threading reclamation and rebellion into every lyric. It was also her first return to SNL since longtime legal troubles connected to workplace misconduct allegations, none of which she addressed directly. Instead, she allowed her art to do the heavy lifting. And the audience were locked in.

Social media exploded like fireworks. “Lizzo doesn’t wear outfits she wears messages,” another fan wrote, summing up the night’s energy beautifully. Another referred to it simply as “iconic,” a word that is often overused but one that is entirely warranted in this instance. Lizzo did not use her moment to apologize but rather to reaffirm that she is an artist who does not shy away from difficult conversations, even when she’s in the midst of one herself. On a night when the cautious could have played it safe, and the quiet could have chosen to keep to themselves, Lizzo made noise, and the world heard it loud and clear.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream
Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.
The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.
The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.
Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
