The Tupac Shakur documentary will revisit the rapper’s life and murder with Duane Keefe D’Davis. The new documentary on Tupac Shakur will feature members of the rapper’s family.

The yet untitled feature documentary, commissioned by Sky, is directed by Marian Mohamed and will document the Las Vegas case around Davis, who was ultimately convicted in the 1996 death of Tupac. The production has also gained access to Tupac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur, and other people close to the late rapper.

While Davis’ prosecution forms the documentary’s core structure, Mohamed seeks to look beyond the courtroom. The director said she wanted Tupac’s family to have a chance to discuss his life and legacy beyond the grief that has surrounded public discussion about his death. So, the trial will be a gateway into the story of Tupac, the people who knew him, and the life he lived before his murder.

On Aug. 31, a Clark County jury found Davis guilty of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, and the documentary follows that case. Prosecutors said Davis helped plan the September 1996 attack after Tupac and members of his entourage attacked Davis’ nephew, Orlando Anderson, at the MGM Grand hotel. Davis was not charged in the shooting that killed Tupac.

Sky’s documentary is not the same as a previous project involving Davis and his legal team. AllHipHop noted that the production centered on access to Davis and his family, while the new Sky film tells the story from the perspective of Tupac’s family and members of his inner circle.

The filming will be tied into the ongoing legal proceedings, and the film will look into Tupac’s story through the Shakur family’s personal archives, told by those who knew him best.

Kristina Khorram, who spent more than a decade in Diddy’s inner circle and eventually became his chief of staff, is now working on Usher’s touring operation.

According to Rolling Stone, Khorram is currently working on Usher’s 56-date R&B tour, which also includes Chris Brown. It has not been revealed where she is on the tour. A rep for Usher declined to comment on the deal, while a rep for Khorram did not return the outlet’s request for comment.

Khorram’s move over to Usher’s team follows years of scrutiny over her work with Diddy. Prosecutors repeatedly cited her in building their racketeering case against the Bad Boy founder, calling her an “agent and co conspirator.” They claimed she helped set up Diddy’s sexual flings with male escorts and was part of an effort to obtain hotel surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie Ventura in 2016.

Khorram was never formally accused of any crime or asked to testify in the case. She has denied previous allegations of facilitating sexual abuse and called the allegations deeply upsetting.

Usher and Combs have known each other for decades. Usher was introduced to Bad Boy as a teenager working on his 1994 debut, and he began developing an early professional relationship with Combs. Earlier this year, Usher told Forbes he had nothing negative to say about his former mentor, even as he continued to recognize Diddy’s influence on music and on Black entrepreneurship.

So Khorram’s presence in Usher’s touring operation adds another layer to a relationship between Usher and Diddy that dates back to the singer’s early career. Her duties on the current tour have not been announced. Still, her arrival puts a former member of Diddy’s longtime inner circle in a new professional setting alongside one of R&B’s established stars.
