Nike SNKRS Reserve Program Puts Sneaker Pre-Orders In The Spotlight With Kobe 3 Protro “Christmas”

Nike

Nike has once again pushed the sneaker experience into uncharted territory with the launch of its SNKRS Reserve pre-order program, making its debut with the highly anticipated Kobe 3 Protro “Christmas” on August 24, 2025. The move signals a fresh approach to how sneaker enthusiasts access limited releases, aiming to replace chaos with control in an often-frustrating market. Securing coveted sneakers has been a battle, hours spent refreshing apps, entering lotteries, and hoping bots don’t snatch up pairs before real fans.

Nike’s new SNKRS Reserve program addresses these challenges directly by enabling a select group of users to pre-order limited releases. By shifting to a reservation-based model, Nike not only ensures fairness but also provides buyers with the assurance that their hard-to-get pairs are genuinely theirs. Access to reservations is curated through early notifications or exclusive QR codes, creating a sense of anticipation and exclusivity. Once reserved, buyers can rest easy knowing their sneakers are guaranteed, no frantic clicks or luck-based draws required. It’s a strategy that emphasizes member rewards and reinforces the SNKRS app as the go-to hub for the brand’s most critical drops.

The debut launch of the Kobe 3 Protro “Christmas” under the SNKRS Reserve program demonstrates Nike’s willingness to experiment with distribution while maintaining the excitement of traditional releases. Pre-orders are designed to complement, rather than replace, standard launches, especially for models that generate intense hype. For sneaker collectors and Kobe fans alike, the pairing of a revolutionary program with an iconic silhouette feels like a momentous occasion. Beyond easing the purchase process, SNKRS Reserve also helps Nike gauge demand more accurately and reduce the influence of resellers and bots.

The debut photos of the Kobe 3 Protro “Christmas” show not just a sneaker but a piece of basketball history being delivered to fans with precision and care. With SNKRS Reserve, Nike is quietly but confidently reshaping the sneaker landscape. For members, it’s a step toward a more predictable, rewarding, and ultimately human-centered buying experience, something every sneakerhead will likely welcome with open arms.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Pay Someone $10,000 A Month To Eat Ice Cream

Snoop Dogg has had a lot of job titles over the years, but “official ice cream taster” wasn’t one of them until now — and he’s hiring someone else to fill it. His company Dr. Bombay just opened applications for the role, and it pays $10,000 a month.

The gig is fully remote and open to anyone on the planet, which Snoop announced himself in a video that’s exactly as laid-back as you’d expect. “I love the paper, but not the paperwork,” he said, explaining that HR firm Deel is handling the logistics while he handles, presumably, the ice cream.

The actual job is less “sit around and eat pints all day” and more part-time cultural scout. Whoever gets it will track flavor and food trends around the world, report back on what people are eating and talking about, and work directly with Dr. Bombay’s in-house flavor lead to help shape what the brand does next. It’s a three-month contractor role, and Snoop’s team says they’re actively looking outside the usual resume pile — creators and non-traditional applicants welcome.

Dr. Bombay itself leans nostalgic, with flavors like Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time already sitting on shelves at Walmart and moving through DoorDash and Instacart. Somewhere out there is one very lucky applicant about to get paid five figures a month to have opinions about ice cream, and honestly, good for them.
