Their fluid, supple approach translated into a sinuous, slender silhouette, but in keeping with the Attico’s seductive, über-feminine take, it was counterbalanced by self-confident structured shapes, as in a strong-shouldered, feather-trimmed hot-pink blazer tucked into matching long skinny trousers. A black leather biker jacket, cinched with a high-waisted elasticated belt, conveyed a sort of don’t-mess-with-me posture, while contrasting with the sexiness of the hip-hugging, ankle-grazing draped skirt in liquid shiny jersey it was paired with. The malleable fabric was used extensively in the collection, highlighting the need for comfort even a diehard Attico partygoer has to acknowledge today. Glam silk cady and luscious satin were ditched in favor of more sensible everyday fabric options, like crisp poplin, nylon, and supple lightweight leather.

That said, do not expect sloppy, stay-at-home tracksuits or tired worn-out sweats from Tordini and Ambrosio: The social circuit might’ve been temporarily shut down and traded for a nightly doses of The Crown on Netflix, but glamour lurks always round the corner chez Attico. The retro decorative flair the designers favor wasn’t at all relinquished, just replaced by industrial sleek embellishments, more disco than boudoir—flat rectangular sequins jazzing up a slinky iridescent minidress, or heat-sealed shiny surfaces shimmering on a high-slit asymmetrical slip dress.

“Being beautiful and a little self-centered while feeling at ease and comfortable—why not?” they asked. To address the comfort situation their way, they concocted a series of cut-out clingy numbers, sexy tops, and miniskirts in liquid jersey with drawstring draping effects, to reveal or conceal bare skin according to moods. In today’s locked-down reality, a sensible, soothing sense of ease is surely key; yet at Attico, the seduction game is apparently never quarantined.
