Video Released Showing the Arrest of Keefe D, Suspected in 2Pac’s Homicide

The unsolved 1996 homicide of renowned rapper Tupac Shakur has long been a prominent enigma in the hip-hop universe. Recent progress, though, implies that this longstanding unsolved case may be approaching a conclusion. Just last week, law enforcement apprehended Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is currently being accused of murder and aiding in the promotion or advancement of a criminal gang.

Davis, who was known as the “shot-caller” of the group that carried out the drive-by shooting that ended Shakur’s life, allegedly obtained the murder weapon from an associate. He then reportedly gave the weapon to his nephew, Orlando Anderson.

The arrest of Keefe D has been a long time coming. The 60-year-old has been a suspect for some time now, and his arrest did not come as a surprise to many. Over the years, he has spoken fairly openly about the case, and footage of his recent arrest suggests that he was not particularly shocked by the development either.

The video shows Davis peacefully cooperating with the Las Vegas Police when they approach him in his locality. He is subsequently handcuffed and during the pat-down, he requests the officers to allow him to have a sip from his water bottle, stating that he is “extremely thirsty.” The officers guarantee him that he will be permitted to drink his water once he is inside their vehicle.

Once inside the cruiser, an officer asks Davis what they’ve got him on. In response, Davis admits that he is part of the “biggest case in Las Vegas history.” The officer notes that the arrest “sure took them a while,” highlighting the length of time it has taken for authorities to make an arrest in this high-profile case.

The arraignment of Davis was scheduled to take place earlier this week. However, due to his lawyer failing to show up, the hearing has been pushed back by two weeks.
