Ellis B. unveils an effortless groove on latest release “So Smooth”
Ellis B. tripped out on So Smooth with a groove for dancing, smoking, and just vibing. It’s a record built like a hip-hop song, but with a chill, driven feel, catchy lyrics paired with an experienced perspective. From the opening attitude to the people it talks to, the song feels like one for hustlers and smokers looking for something with an easygoing edge.
The lyrics bring that perspective to the fore, “This is for the hustlers, This is for the smokers too, This is so smooth.” It’s confidently simple, and the groove moves the track forward, without pushing the moment. Ellis B. also goes introspective, rapping about growth and perseverance: “I pray my blessings renew, making smooth shit like this is what I’m destined to do.”
That feeling of experience continues with the reflection, “I learn my lessons from losing, but that remains to be proven.” Underneath its chill surface, it builds on the chillness of “So Smooth.” It connects the song’s chill with a resolve to keep moving forward. Ellis B has a title track that fits the bill, with groove, confidence, experience, and an easy sense of movement.

Murph Law puts survival behind the hustle on latest release “Do It For The Money”
Murph Law has released “Do It For The Money,” a hard-hitting track about sacrifice, ambition, and the reality of chasing success when broke is not an option. The track features on his upcoming album, MONOLITH. It connects the daily grind to bigger themes, serving as a reaction against oppressive systems and establishments that can hold people back from reaching their potential.
The boom bap drums and aggressive rock guitar emphasize the message. That mix feeds the hunger that runs through the song, the kind that hits home with late nites and long shifts and the hard work of trying to build something real. This is the soundtrack for the everyday hustler; it’s about the practical realities behind dreams, not success as a breeze.
“Do It For The Money” distinguishes chasing money from chasing a better life. It is survival mode, the knowledge that you require the means to chase your dreams. With MONOLITH on the horizon, Murph Law uses this record to showcase the pressure, drive, and sacrifice of the hustle, creating a track built for anyone looking to build a path forward.
