Gallant Tries Desperately To Win His Woman Over In The Heartfelt ‘Comeback’ Video
The singer pulls heavily from early ’00s R&B as inspiration for the slow-burning single. …
Gallant released his sophomore album, Sweet Insomnia, in 2019 to critical acclaim and now, the singer is returning to usher in a new era of music. Sharing his first single of 2021, Gallant teases his forthcoming EP Neptune with a video alongside the swooning single “Comeback.”
Drawing from R&B’s heyday in the early aughts, Gallant croons his heartfelt verses over a sparking beat. The video that accompanies the single is directed by Bennett Johnson and depicts the singer pulling out all of his best moves to try to win over his woman. After she rejects his call, he begins showing up everywhere from her TV’s infomercials to her car’s dashboard bobblehead to remind her of his worth.
Speaking about his inspiration behind the single, Gallant said the lyrics were compiled from his late-night thoughts:
“I put the lyrics of ‘Comeback’ together from pages of notes I had typed up late at night and saved on my computer (and didn’t really want anyone else to read). I was having some trouble finding a spark of inspiration and at the same time, I had these small bits and pieces of early 2000s R&B floating around in my head that I could never really turn into any good ideas. When I finally locked myself in a room and told myself I couldn’t leave until I made something, I looked at all these pieces in front of me and felt like, in a weird way, they might be able to complement each other. Eventually they turned into this song full of nostalgia and longing, where you feel like you’ve been there before and are desperately trying to get back.”

Garbage Garden gives a clear picture of freedom on new release “nameless.”
Garbage Garden’s new single, “nameless.,” is a moving track that feels more like a breath of fresh air than a song. From the first notes, listeners are taken to a place where the weight of judgment, whether from society, critics, or even ourselves, disappears.
“Nameless.” is about the idea that we can only be truly free when we let go of everything that holds us back. The track explores going from the spotlight to what the artist calls “unmeasured silence on an open sea.” It makes you feel like you’re floating beyond what you expect, where your identity, reputation, and responsibilities fall away, leaving only the raw, free you.
Garbage Garden gives a clear picture of freedom, a kind of existential release where there is no final judgment to chase and no “right answer” to find. The experience is both personal and universal, speaking to anyone who has ever felt trapped by what others expect of them.

SweetCandy! reveals the truth behind new release “ISOLATED DISPOSITION”
SweetCandy! latest release of “ISOLATED DISPOSITION,” a single that doesn’t just talk but also confesses, opens up a very open space. The song was written right after a fight, and it has a lot of emotional baggage that most artists would be too scared to show. SweetCandy! doesn’t give up, it pushes all the way in.
“ISOLATED DISPOSITION” is how isolating it feels to be alone and not understood. But instead of blaming others, the story looks inward and reveals a deeper truth, being alone can often be a choice. The song gets to the point, shutting down only makes the emotional distance between us and others bigger.
There isn’t any effort to make things better or hide the pain, SweetCandy! talks openly about how hard it is to want to be understood while also keeping things that would help people understand you. A lot of people who hear it will know right away that it doesn’t make sense.
“ISOLATED DISPOSITION” seems like a turning point in the end. It shows that people are ready to be more responsible, grow, and be honest with each other in the future. SweetCandy! makes it clear that being open about your feelings isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s the way to be truly seen in a world where it can feel dangerous to do so.
