Miles Prime: A Multi-talented Rapper Who Is Making Wave In The music Industry

Miles Prime is a multi-talented rapper and songwriter from Phoenix, AZ. He has taken all the time he needs to learn all that he needs to know about his craft. He started rapping and performing at a tender age of 6. Music has proven itself to be his natural channel in expressing his feelings. His songs are filled with stories from his personal experiences as well as the experiences of others he’s been able to bear witness to and learn from.

Full of wisdom beyond his years, Miles Prime with all the knowledge and skills has been able to carve his feelings on to paper and turn his words into living poetry.

In his recent song “CONFRONTATION 101” he was able to prove to the world how talented and relentless he is in making his music.

Hi there, welcome to Honkmagazine. Can you tell our readers about what really inspired you to write music?

Miles Prime – It was always really just a “natural” thing for me I guess. Since I could remember I always had an interest in literature and telling stories. What really hit home is when I did my first talent show in 1st grade. My mom was a rapper herself and actually started off writing raps for me, and once I performed the very first time the rest was history.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

Miles Prime – I’d say around my junior year of high school for sure for sure. I was an exceptional basketball player as that was actually my very first love. But as the years progressed I started to gravitate more towards music and it was weird because even though I was good at music as well, I always had a dream to make it to the NBA. But when I started being honest with myself, I realized I didn’t care about playing as much as I thought I did. Therefore leaving me to tend to my music journey.

Tell us what is so unique about you and your music?

Miles Prime – I think the uniqueness comes from the fact I’m unapologetically myself through my creations at all times. I’m not chasing a certain “sound”, I’m not trying to be the coolest artist hell I’m not even trying to necessarily be the “best” artist. I’m trying to show listeners it’s okay to be flawed while doing what you love and have fun doing it. Whoever my music is relatable to will feel me and find their uniqueness in their own way and be able to love themselves and that is my purpose.

Can you tell us about your latest releases and what inspired you to create them?

Miles Prime – Last year in May I dropped my debut album “Miles Ahead” after working on it all year through the pandemic. As I was writing I had to reshape and project a lot of my thoughts through certain tones just because of everything that was going on in the world, so a lot of inspiration came from that. Also the fact that it was my very first official album, I wanted to make an impact and really make my presence felt and the reception has been absolutely amazing, so I’m very proud of that

Can you give us a brief insight about your upcoming projects?

Miles Prime – I have a few singles that I’m currently working on right now.. videos as well because I really try to emphasize on bringing the music to life and have the proper rollouts. So yea, y’all will just have to stick around and keep tabs on that!

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

Miles Prime – The beauty is in the struggle. There will be many instances where you compare yourself to a bigger named artist or where you feel like no matter what you do there’s no progression. You have to put your ego aside and put the work in to build a foundation that suits YOU. You have to take leaps and experiment with different things in order to really find what your niche is and what kind of artist you’d like to be or become. Last thing you want to do is give in or give up because consistency breeds winners

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

Miles Prime – I’m very passionate about martial arts and the act of combat i guess you could say haha. I’m currently training Muay Thai right now and I even start to indulge in organized fighting on the side. I always tell my friends I’m going to be the first rapper in the UFC so who knows you might just see that. I love to do things that have never been done before and I don’t put any limits on what I can achieve

Boy Sim explores heartbreak and self-deception on “Cloud Nine”

Boy Sim’s new single, “Cloud Nine,” tackles the difficult task of pretending to be happy. The release is an energetic, emotional listen that turns post-breakup denial into an optimistic take on a man trying to convince himself everything is fine, even as his emotions haven’t caught up with the fact that a relationship has failed.

“Cloud Nine” is about being in that uncomfortable space where you know the relationship is wrong but you’re still emotionally attached to the person. Boy Sim takes off the rose-colored glasses, recalling the red flags he ignored and the truth he didn’t want to know, and he’s ready to move on, but his ex is still on his mind.

What’s cool is that it’s a hyper-pop, high-energy song, but it still feels open. Boy Sim’s heartache is an intoxicating up-tempo sound that speaks to the sometimes messy process of moving on. As the second single from Boy Sim’s upcoming record, “Cloud Nine” comes with a music video that matches the song’s high-octane energy.

The song is basically about the difference between being truly happy and pretending to be happy. The song implies that just telling yourself you’re okay doesn’t mean you’ve moved on. It’s another chance to discover a new pop artist unafraid to explore the messy emotions of relationships, denial, and personal growth.

Brynja Rán finds clarity in complicated relationships on “Unblurred” [album]

It can be hard to see when a relationship no longer meets your emotional needs, especially when affection, uncertainty, and repeated disappointment are hard to untangle. “Unblurred,” an album built on the bedrock of emotional unavailability, recurring conflict, and the slow dawning that a relationship might need to end, is where Brynja Rán unpacks that difficult process.

The ten songs follow the arc of attachment and frustration, weaving together the story of someone trying to figure out what they deserve. The focus track, “Unblurred Lines,” hits on the album’s central concept. This is when the veils begin to fall, and the person is more ready to see the partner’s behavior for what it is. The song is musically rich, with an acoustic and electric guitar soundscape, synthesizers, bass guitar, drums, and additional instrumentation.

The surrounding songs view the same emotional landscape from different angles. “Cowboy Wannabe” explores a partner masking insecurity with a detached personality, and “Deja Vu” captures the frustration of arguments that go round and round without changing anything. “Adore” is about ignoring red flags when you’re that into something, and “Cherry” is about the temporary comfort of being in a relationship that just isn’t right.

The album opens up by looking at borders and the need for real connection. “Make Me Feel” is about wanting to be loved, and “Until” is about how long you should stay in the twilight zone. “Still Stuck Waiting” captures the frustration of waiting for communication and commitment. “Don’t You Leave” begins with fear of abandonment and moves toward healing, while “What Else” ends the record with emotional exhaustion and a desire to move on.

Rather than treating every experience as a one-off event, the tracklist of “Unblurred” attempts to create a single image of relationship troubles. With this release, Brynja Rán explores unhealthy patterns, boundaries, and getting the clarity to choose a different path.
