One on one with superstar “Allura”
We had the chance to interview Allura aka “Allura’s World”. Allura comes from a very diverse background in music, dance, and theatre. From the age of 3 until the present, Allura has danced contemporary modern and jazz with ballet as her discipline. She was also a principal dancer, actress, and singer in a plethora of performances with The Black Academy of Arts and Letters. Allura discovered her talent while singing in the IMPACT Youth Choir at the Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Growing up, she always knew she was different. While girls her age were playing with Barbie dolls and Nintendo DS games, she was writing song lyrics and short stories.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story? How did you get to where you are today?
Allura: Thank you so much for having me. I come from a very diverse background in music, dance, and theatre. From the age of 3, I danced contemporary modern and jazz with ballet as my discipline. I discovered my musical talent while singing in the church however my first ever debut was in Whitney the Musical at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Allura: Wow. I could list a million but I think my biggest challenges would have to be 1. overcoming my own self-limiting beliefs and 2. navigating a male-dominated industry as a woman.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Allura: I am a music artist and can pretty much sing any genre or style of music. The work that I have already released shows that I am not a one-dimensional artist. My work has many layers to it. Most importantly, everything I touch is authentic, original, and has the clear intention behind it to inspire others in a positive way and I feel this is what makes me different.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Allura: My best advice for anyone trying to achieve success is to establish a routine for yourself and to keep showing up for yourself even when you’re discouraged. When you have little motivation that’s where discipline kicks in.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Allura: I used to measure success by my list of achievements and by my materialistic possessions, but as I got older I realized how toxic that frame of mind can be. Now to me, being successful means staring into the mirror and being happy with the reflection staring back at you.
What’s next for you?
Allura: I am actually getting ready to launch my new podcast inspired by my viral TikTok content called “Absolutely Not “where we will discuss hot topics, and social issues, and educate and uplift women. I am so excited about this new venture and hope that this contributes to the legacy I plan to leave for future generations.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
