Judy Malka Takes the World by Storm with Uplifting New Single “Someone Like You”
Multitalented actress, songwriter, and performer Judy Malka unveils her latest masterpiece, the inspiring and heartfelt pop single, “Someone Like You,” which has already captured the hearts of listeners worldwide. With its release on March 10, 2023, this compelling track offers a message of hope and connection during these challenging times.
Born out of the darkness of the pandemic, “Someone Like You” is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of music to heal and uplift. Judy Malka shares that the song was inspired by her own experience during the pandemic: “One morning, I was so depressed with how heavy the news of the world was, how the world was shut down. A voice inside me told me to start writing. I didn’t know what the subject matter would be.”
As if guided by an invisible force, the song flowed out of her almost all at once, with the exception of the chorus. The missing piece of the puzzle finally came together a few months later while on a flight, as the lyrics “All of my life I knew that I would find someone like you” materialized while she gazed at the vast expanse of sky before her.
Though the title may suggest a romantic theme, Judy clarifies that the intention behind the song is much broader. “I feel that this song is not about a specific person, I just wanted to write a song that was going to be inspiring to a lot of people to help everyone going through this time. All of us have been in that place where we have looked for that somebody that was going to be ‘the one,’ and that was the intention of the song,” she explains.
“Someone Like You” is a beacon of light amidst the darkness of the past few years, offering solace, connection, and hope to those who have struggled to find their footing in an uncertain world. With its captivating melody, relatable lyrics, and Judy Malka’s soaring vocals, this single is poised to become an anthem for anyone in search of that special someone or simply seeking comfort and inspiration.

Arend West faces the weight of identity on latest release “Still Remains”
Memory is hard to separate from identity, and Arend West puts that tension front and center in “Still Remains.” The alternative-pop release delves into the emotional weight of familial expectations, inherited stories, and the slow process of discovering where one’s identity begins and old definitions end.
Arend West leads the song through a cinematic framework of dark pop that gives the storytelling an intimate and emotionally exposed character. The writing is about relationships based on shared history and the assumption that shared background equals shared destiny. That idea becomes more and more complicated as the song moves toward the realization that some connections, important as they are, do not necessarily determine who someone must become.
The main imagery of the song is identity as something that can be gently stripped off the expectations of generations. The idea of pulling something apart piece by piece, repeated throughout, gives the track its emotional direction. “Still Remains” shows personal growth not as a simple transformation but as an exploration of what has been carried for years and what still belongs.
This approach is naturally aligned with West’s larger artistic interest in memory, personal experience and growth. The dark-pop production is still front and center for the emotional themes without burying the storytelling, resulting in a sound that should appeal to fans of reflective alternative pop and cinematic songwriting.

Music by Jeremy captures life’s contradictions into latest album release “Scenes from a Well Worn Path – Side One”
Jeremy arrives with “Scenes from a Well Worn Path – Side One,” a six-song debut that doesn’t stay in one genre. In the space of just over 21 minutes, the Banbury, England, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist touches on acoustic folk, soul, post-punk, synth-pop, blues, and gospel—a release held together by sharp songwriting and emotional honesty.
The lead single, “Be Me,” sets that course right off the bat. Set to a foundation of delicate guitars, vocal harmonies, and a driving indie-pop pulse, the song explores the exhaustion of constantly presenting a version of yourself for other people. The melody makes the song instantly accessible, while the topic gives it emotional weight. Jeremy examines the tension of who we are and who we feel we should be, not that identity is some simple thing.
“The Story of a Mistress” takes the storytelling into darker territory, opening with acoustic guitar and confronting an experience associated with shame, dependency, and the difficult process of walking away. Elsewhere, “Bowie on the Wall” adds a softer vocal presence, while “Bittersweet” closes out the release with a pronounced stomp, cool guitar work, and a more driving character.
What’s special about “Scenes from a Well Worn Path – Side One,” is its willingness to juxtapose difficult subjects with varied musical textures. Grief, moral failure, economics, and environmental issues all feed into Jeremy’s lyrical world without making the project too heavy. The result is what the artist calls “joyous realism” music that acknowledges life’s complexities but keeps moving forward.
