A voice inside me told me to start writing. I didn’t know what the subject matter would be.”
As if guided by an invisible force, the song flowed out of her almost all at once, with the exception of the chorus. The missing piece of the puzzle finally came together a few months later while on a flight, as the lyrics “All of my life I knew that I would find someone like you” materialized while she gazed at the vast expanse of sky before her.
Though the title may suggest a romantic theme, Judy clarifies that the intention behind the song is much broader. “I feel that this song is not about a specific person, I just wanted to write a song that was going to be inspiring to a lot of people to help everyone going through this time. All of us have been in that place where we have looked for that somebody that was going to be ‘the one,’ and that was the intention of the song,” she explains.
