Tamar Berk confronts the beauty in chaos with new album “ocd”
California-based singer and songwriter Tamar Berk released her latest album, “ocd,” a song that flourishes in beautiful but groovy, yet sharp, and echoes the very chaos from which it sprung.
Constructed from hypnotic swirls of Wurlitzer, trumpet, fuzzed-out guitar, and teasing synths, “ocd” sings along to its own beauty, as disco-fied guitars ring out in an endless refrain. Its chorus echoes the very cycles Tamar is struggling with. Repetition is what draws listeners into her world, making it hard to distinguish between the soothing thump of routine and the choking clench of compulsion.
But in place of despair, she uses her art to make room for humor, beauty, and even catharsis. That tension makes “ocd” more than a personal confession, but an acknowledgment that anyone whose own spiraling thoughts have besieged may recognize.
Her warm piano chords keep the song tethered, while dreamlike synths gleam like sirens guiding us further into the emotional maze. Brass flourishes and dusted guitar fuzz bring grime and a swelling burst of energy, ensuring that the song never sags in one place too long, just as the mind roams.
“ocd” is the centerpiece of her new album, and it captures the themes of identity, memory, and cycles that Tamar has been unwinding across her work. Turning her own strife into music that is both intimate and vast, she delivers to listeners not just a song but an experience, a testament that beauty can thrive even in rerun territory, and chaos at times can sound like art.

T1M1 featuring Keybeaux confront artificial creativity with latest release “Hip Slop”
T1M1 and Keybeaux come together on “Hip Slop,” a hip-hop tune powered by fast, heavy, energetic rap flows. The song is delivered with a kind of intensity that gives urgency to its message, a lively backdrop for its subject matter. The artists take on the track in a confrontational spirit, using its momentum to address what they see as an increasingly artificial reality.
The song centers on AI-generated content and the sense that what people are shown may not always be real. Its perspective challenges artificial creativity, framing the issue as something that deserves direct attention rather than passive acceptance.
