A/S/L delivers after-hours energy on “Easy Flirt”
Los Angeles–based producer A/S/L returns with “Easy Flirt,” the second single from his forthcoming third EP, Burnt Out Disco For Club Rats. Built for the late hours, the track fuses bootlegged vocal chops with a driving French house bassline, locking into a raw, physical groove made for warehouse floors at peak hour. Disco euphoria flickers through the mix as systems push into the red—gritty, hypnotic, and unapologetically functional.
Over the past year, A/S/L has earned strong editorial support across all major DSPs, alongside continued radio airplay from BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and KCRW. Known for blending nostalgic dance references with a modern club sensibility, he’s carved out a lane that feels both reverent and forward-moving—music rooted in feel and function, not trend-chasing.
With “Easy Flirt,” A/S/L continues to sharpen the vision behind Burnt Out Disco For Club Rats—a project rooted in after-hours energy, sweat-soaked rooms, and the communal release of the dancefloor. It’s a track that understands the moment when the night peaks, when polish gives way to pressure, and when the groove is all that matters.

Billy Jeter and Bobby Rush give struggle a voice on latest release “Hard Times”
Billy Jeter returns with “Hard Times,” a Blues-based Single Featuring Grammy-winning Blues Legend Bobby Rush. There is a deep tradition in Arkansas and the Mississippi Delta that this song taps into. It brings the raw emotional heaviness of hard times with the resilience and authenticity of the blues. The collaboration adds a layer of musical richness and legacy to the tune.
The main lyric of the song is very simple and clear, “A hard time a hard time is killing me.” And it’s the simplicity of that which makes the feeling immediately recognizable, difficulty can be overwhelming, exhausting, personal. “Hard Times” takes that reality and puts it front and center, instead of hiding it, and letting the emotional truth of the blues carry the message.
And “Hard Times” connects personal struggle to a musical tradition of singing what life can demand of people, with Billy Jeter on lead vocals and Bobby Rush on the record. That sense of authenticity is also fed by the song’s Arkansas and Mississippi Delta roots. It’s a release born of emotional truth, resilience, and the blues’ age-old ability to give voice to hard experience.

Sylvia Brooks explores truth, deception and devotion on latest release “Soul Eyes”
“Soul Eyes” opens with a cool, well-crafted piano intro by Sylvia Brooks that immediately sets a classy, emotional tone for the song. The tender notes set an intimate mood for lyrics that question our notions of people, truth, and reasons for appearances.
Then the song ponders human nature in a contemplative way. Brooks asks, “Our soul, I’m told, can be both hot and cold, but how is one to know which way to go. Fundamentally, the song is about uncertainty as she stares down the difficulty of knowing if someone is being sincere in a world where appearances can be deceiving. That feeling has an extra layer with the soulless mirror in the eyes. And so, darling, watch those lies—a direct warning.
“Soul Eyes” is really about training yourself to look past what is presented on the surface and see the person that is still genuine. The final line “and then you will know that the one who will always be true, that’s how I found you” gives the song a warmer sense of resolution. It’s a nice, reflective piece, built around piano, emotion, and very human questions.
