Born 2 B pushes survival into celebration with latest release “Top It Up”
“Top It Up” by Born 2 B takes a deeply personal experience and makes it a celebration of life. Survival from a life-threatening medical emergency, major emergency surgery, and a medically induced coma altered the meaning of ordinary moments. Family, friends, laughter, music, and just being able to raise a glass together became reasons to live life differently.
“Top It Up” is about the spirit of survival, but the tough experience doesn’t dictate the record’s mood. It’s about friendship, family, music, laughter, and those little moments to share with the people who matter most. That gives the song a positive purpose, from personal recovery to a message about appreciation of life while you have it.
“There’s something very human at the heart of the idea behind ‘Top It Up’. It takes a hard chapter and turns the energy into gratitude and community.” Born 2 B, through the record, celebrates another chance to enjoy the people, experiences, and connections that can so easily be taken for granted, a musical homage to survival, friendship, and being there for the moments that matter.

NAY PORTTELA bridges folk traditions and new expression on latest release “Don’t Wake Me”
“Don’t Wake Me” is an English-language song that gives NAY PORTTELA‘s music an international flavor while retaining the Brazilian musical identity that underpins her work. On the track, her voice takes center stage, carrying the English lyrics with the distinctive presence that defines her performances. It’s the nexus of linguistic expansion and the musical roots that still influence her sound.
“Don’t Wake Me” musically couples the usual pulse of indie folk with layers of viola caipira, creating a dialogue between different veins of folk music. The combo gives the song a character that straddles Brazilian roots and a broader folk sensibility. The track doesn’t separate those influences but lets them sit together, with Nay’s vocal performance acting as the through line of the arrangement.
The song is visually presented as a lyric video with chords and visually directed by Rodolfo Ruben. It keeps the focus on the music and words while adding another dimension to how the track is presented. “Don’t Wake Me” finally opens up another side of NAY PORTTELA’s artistic language, broadening its linguistic scope while still maintaining its Brazilian identity.

Eylsia rebuilds her voice through a fearless genre fusion on latest release “EOP Sound”
Elysia‘s latest release, “EOP Sound,” a direct reflection of her rebuilt voice and the musical direction she is creating now. The track is hard to pin down to one genre, blending house, Afrobeat, classical, ragtime, percussion, piano, and her own vocal texture. That strange mixture gives the song a unique character. The song’s identity feels closely tied to where Eylsia is musically, emotionally, and creatively.
What’s special about “EOP Sound” is how it brings all its different influences together in one space. Afrobeat and House give the percussion piano different rhythmic bases, while classical and ragtime add further musical color. Eylsia’s voice is the centerpiece of the record and its own recognizable presence. It gets its personality from its differences, not from a predictable formula.
The feeling of creative freedom in the end is the “EOP Sound.” Eylsia is not trying to fit the track into a nice little box of a musical genre; she’s giving a sound that reflects where she is in her journey. The result is a genre-blending release with her rebuilt voice front and center of a bold new direction, each adding to the track’s unique identity.
