Ice Spice Breaks Silence on Alleged Nicki Minaj Disses, “Focus on What Really Matters”
Ice Spice‘s rise in the rap game hasn’t been smooth sailing, facing frequent criticism over everything from her music to her style. Her debut album cover for Y2K! was mocked online, and now she’s caught in controversy over alleged leaked texts where she supposedly bashed Nicki Minaj.
The leak, reportedly by former friend Baby Storme, aimed to tarnish Ice Spice’s image, labeling her as fake and critical of Nicki. Some messages compared Nicki to her mother, calling her “ungrateful and delusional,” sparking outrage among Nicki’s fans.
In a recent BET interview, when asked about handling such controversies, Ice Spice stated, “Sometimes I’m tempted to engage, but I realized it just gives it legs to grow. I focus on what I can control and what really matters.”
What do you think of Ice Spice’s approach to this drama? Should she address the issues directly, or is she right to stay focused? Share your thoughts in the comments, and keep up with Honk Magazine for the latest on Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj, as well as other music news.

François Marius pushes lips to feet on the dance-ready on latest release “What You Gonna Do (Radio Edit)”
François Marius‘ latest release, “What You Gonna Do (Radio Edit),” asks a heartfelt question, the difference between saying you love someone and showing it. The song is built on a catchy dance beat and guitars with an energetic feel and emotional message about trust, commitment and openness that comes with giving someone your heart.
The song questions the uncertainty of loving someone and if they’ll stick around when the going gets tough. The song straddles the line of intimacy and fear of a broken heart. It’s relatable because it’s not about saying love, it’s about showing love. François Marius’ “Radio Edit” is a relationship-centered offering, providing sincerity in an upbeat musical setting. The guitars are textured and the dance beat keeps the song interesting.
“What You Gonna Do” challenges listeners to look past statements and consider what real commitment looks like in action. This is a song for people who believe that love should be heard not just in the words of a person but in the actions they are willing to take.

Metaphoric Mind unveils dark intensity and catchy rhythms on latest release “Jaws”
Metaphoric Mind delivers a hard-hitting, energetic sound on “Jaws” built on dark themes, razor-sharp guitars and a driving instrumental base. I love how the song opens up with a strong attack, fast synths and drums and the lead guitar gives a compelling edge to the momentum of the song. The result is a powerful record with a darker mood, but also rhythmic pull that gives the track an energy that is both urgent and captivating.
The lyrics of the song go back to the idea of trying again and making things right, reinforcing the determined mood. That sentiment is echoed throughout, a persistence thread beneath the dark tone of “Jaws,” a willingness to confront the mistake rather than leave it unresolved.
The dark feel gives the song a unique character and the syncopation between the drums and lead guitar make the song accessible and engaging. “Jaws” is an intense listen and a striking addition to Metaphoric Mind’s sound for fans of music that mixes weight and urgency with memorable instrumental interplay.
